My man Fimbu was being attacked by ER's, so I ran to help, wasn't fast enough so I quickly took out Tortuga then tried to get Amearn.

It's not his fault that our educational system is going downhill, and that he didn't get to learn proper English at school.

blahs, guys its a game, stop being so anal. A master swordsman can fucking flip and sheath his sword if he wanted to. PBS owns us all, so lets not whine and get it changed:)

And Formid the point I was making was in response to:

yeh and shifting grip 20 times a round shouldn't make you busy either. hah haha ahahahhaa :P

Which would of course be completely pointless for anything other than spamming your targets screen.

Give me a logical explanation as to why anybody would want to shift grip more than once (back and forth) in one round of combat, and I will accept your argument.

if you are double wielding a sword, you dont have the hands to get a flask from a cloak or pack, and you need to shift to one hand, then shift back to two. i believe thats a logical reason

You have a little trouble with understanding English? What you said is shifting grip once, back and forth. So the logical reason as to why anybody would do it more than once?

How about 'You try to shift your grip and suddenly your sword EXPLODES for not reason'

Yeah, give it some fail message like: You just shifted the grip, you stupid bitch. Why the hell would you do it again?

Just make it so you can only use the command 'shift grip' once per heartbeat without any busy rounds needed, just like the way you have to wait one more round to try again after a failed headbutt.

Give me a logical explanation why 'rounds' exist at all, someone wielding a small, short weapon like a dagger should be able to get 2 or maybe even 3 quick slashes in, in the time that someone wielding a huge claymore would be able to swing once.

I see your point Filch. Perhaps then one round when you shift grip. That seems right. Generaly wielding from (in hands) shouldn't cost more than a round, regardless of encomberance. I mean, the difference between wielding a sword and holding it in your hands is pretty small:P

I can't see how it is fine to run a long flask alias without going busy but not shift grip.

Yeah, by making it so that shift grip makes you go busy, and you're unable to shift grip when busy.

That's exactly what I say to everybody who says that Arawn :P In reality shifting grip takes next to no effort, certainly anyone with tactics over 10 wouldn't lose a round doing it. Mori shouldn't take busy rounds either.

Erm, sorry, shouldn't. Since when does adding or removing a hand from a weapon make take a lot of effort or concentration? Go pick up a baseball bat, swing it around with one hand, then add a hand. See how much effort it takes. At the very least it shouldn't cost more than one round.

You can shift grip and not go busy with pbs. Personally, I think any weapon that has a one or two handed option should use the command shift grip. Mori making you busy, while SS or pbs doesn't makes no sense.
