hmmm... so the lesson learned is, who cares? Barberi was hacked/suicided and reinstated, yet same thing happened to friend while before this, and he wasn't reinstated, just kept suicided and had to remake a character... Why ainur or people do the things they do, whom knows, But nothing we say or do can change it. So continue playing the mud, and if shit gets rough... Maybe its time to quit?

I posted this log because I was going through my logs and found it amusing. If I wanted to fling shit at you - good grief, I got tons. That wasn't my intention.
I was bitter over my mp warning because it's bullshit and because I've seen this done since the dawn of time, but anyone (but me) has yet to be warned for it.
I wasn't really bitter about mels, and things 'going my way'. The ER's suggestion which I supported is a much better solution to your problem. But then again, we're used to things not being solved with the best, but rather any solution you want seen.

Since I remember having a lengthy conversation with you two about the situation, but feeling ignored... I'm wondering if I somehow managed to transfer myself back to my workroom, where I proceeded to talk to the empty air about what happened :P. I wish I had a log of the occasion to review. Oh, I know I certainly talked to Kalmah personally about things....
I prefer, when encountering ridiculous statements, to make fun of them, rather that treating them seriously. Obviously, my comment was not completely unrelated to your point, although the relation might have been a bit too vague for some less gifted.
I'm not sure where you get that from, Filch, I never liked Exide or had any interaction with him. I'm not planning on immorting nor spreeing on newbies. But if it amuses you thinking I will - go ahead. Whatever floats your boat, even if it's making up completely unrelated things.

Well thank you, Thenardi, for giving us the full story because when I asked Drogian if that ainu is going to be punished I was told something along the lines of it'll be dealt it. Kalmah did get over it the next day, do I give a fuck? No. I guess we care about different things. My point was exactly what Arawn said - I could immort, kill off or levelbash or do whatever I want to one or as many people as I want, and I'd get demorted. And they'll just have to suck it up. Enjoyable.

Hahaha none of you guys are really getting a full story here. Valinor isn't corrupt or anything like Nyx is saying. This was done by a newbie ainu, who previously joked around with me and Kalmah shortly before this incident. We would kill each other out of boredom when we were not coding and Kalmah soon demorted. We learned that the ainu had not known that and accidentally typed in an alias to kill me and Kalmah at the same time. Kalmah got over it the next day, the ainu was punished, no big deal. Accidents happen. :)
It doesn't appear to have been _justly_ delt with. Kalmah is killed by an Ainu, for no apparent reason. He is then not told either who or why. He has no idea if that person has been punished or not and is not
compensated for his loss. So..delt with how?
So, it looks like, if one were so inclined, that a person could immort, decide they want to fuck around, kill some people and then just get demorted? And the victims would then have no grounds for appeal and just have to suck it up.
Anyway, this may not be a conspiracy, but it's certainly one particular incident that seems to have been very poorly handled, especially from a PR point of view.
I didn't edit out anything you said Drogian, and you did vanish which boggled me as well. The only editted parts are before the death because those didn't really matter.
I just can't figure out what I wound up doing here. I remember having a much more extended conversation with Nyx and Kalmah, but it seems all of that was edited out :P. (Or, at least, my exit seems to have vanished!)
Anyway, this *was* dealt with by Admin at the time. I don't know why this has been brought up again.

At least, that's the way things should go, if we wanted to be fair, and have a peaceful, positive community. And I think that we can all agree that we do, despite the occasional silly ainu who will get on the comm and talk in a virile manner about how 'it doesn't have to be fair, because we volunteer to run it, Draugluin owns it, etc...'. I trust that that's not what anybody really wants to be the situation.
Also, some players who have very little hatred for anybody on the mud, OFTEN get unfairly grouped in with these nonexistant evil-bastard-enemy factions, all because of this nonproductive back and forth. So how should something like Kalmah's situation be dealt with? Well, for starters, it shouldn't have happened anyway (Assuming, as we cannot do from this log, that it was randomly done by some ainu), because the ainur shouldn't treat the players that way. For seconds, Nyx and Kalmah should bring the complaint to the ainur through the proper, standard procedures (which, I assume, they did?). And the admin-type ainur should have responded to that, and fixed the situation so that anybody who was wronged was righted again. And then this whole log posting shit wouldn't have happened. And if the ainur failed to follow through with that, as (apparently, once again, I'm assuming some things here that could be cleared up very easily by an actual reasonable, comprehensive statement of the facts of the case by Nyx or Kalmah, instead of these vague accusations and an unclear log) they did, they could at least repair their mistakes by giving a reasonable response to the posting of this log, explaining what mistakes were made, and once again, giving reparations.
That's the problem with a lot of you people, it's always, oh, look at this, this proves the ainur suck, or this proves this ainu sucks, or 'the ainur are trying to ruin the mud'. And from the Valinor side, it's always, 'Oh, so you guys are trying to mess with us? Well fuck you!' Neither side, the ainur or the players who resent Valinor, exist in the extreme that the other side believes them to, or at least portrarys them to. Some people act like dickheads some of the time. There should be less of that. Very little more, except for dealing with the specific issues of dickheadedness (which is really the only productive thing to do), can be said.
So, what happened, does anyone know? Without an axe to grind or anything, I would certainly be interested to hear about it.
