This is an older log, perhaps the only one to ever be seen again until Guilds are disbanded, and Variel no longer has a hiding place. The one time in the last few years that I was both on as an assassin, AND saw Variel outside of the guild.

If Variel talks a lot of crap and hides in his GH all day like some say he does, then it will get him in the end and cause his members to lose respect for him.
As for Ari, he only enjoyed the politics of the mud and running the guild. He didnt enjoy playing and I don't see a problem with him sitting in gh all day so long as he doesn't talk s**t and taunt people(That was my job :-P )

Rendor posts a good kill and gives some..explanations (let's use this word), then Variel in turn does the same.So we can feel the thrill.This is not a log where one of the sides can bitch - the moment they start doing so, they look dumb.Regardless of its purpose.
If you want to show yourself or get results I can recommend you karate.It trains dumb but honest people, with principles.You might learn something.

Ari would have had the sense not to make a post like Variel did on the Korzan goes headhunting log, thats for damn sure. He acknowledged that he was not a GM who led by Example. I read Variels post and It appears to me as if Variel is single handedly winning the war for the rimmies.
In reality he hasnt left his guild in the last 3 years, and really has no ability to judge any type of playerkilling skill, and should not be making comments, thats why i'm pissed.

This log is seems self explanatory.
You'll notice the comment at the end about timing...
This was highly appropriate for three reasons:
1) It was 2 hours in to the boot
- hence crappy equipment, and me being outside my halls,
although, the death occured prior to me becoming Guildmaster,
so it was far more common for me to be outside.
2) It was about a week after they re-coded the MT inn room
so you couldn't use it while blinded (hence the failed huntbreak)
That will also give you an accurate date of death. Something like 18 months ago?
3) This death occurred 2 hours before a university exam
I certainly wasn't focusing on the MUD. (was reading a textbook when he attacked)
actually, it would appear from the log that Rendor even faded while in the same
room. So he may have noticed I was idle.
This log is a good example of how a bit of preparation (from Rendor)
a bit of luck (the timing) and a lot of stupidity (on my part) can lead to a certain death.
Moral: Don?t afk outside a guildhall.
