I don't think they should remove ER's, I just think maybe they need to limit them to certain places, like the Pelennor and Mordor...and then develop their lands more and more, to create a entirely different experience for players.
I mean, people say the PK-ing is important because the game gets boring. Well, make it so that being an ER isn't about killing all the time. Make it so that someone even like ME who doesn't play alts, would find it interesting to learn the ER side of the game and not have to worry about FR's coming in and killing me, etc. Just worry about ER vs ER, and let FR worry about FR.
And while the ER's seem united, I know plenty who are tired of things that are going on with Black Hand and ER's killing in Mordor, etc. But there is no lawsys and not much they can do against the people running those places. At least they feel that way.

Yep, those ERs sure are united... in bogging down anything that might improve the game at the cost of a few fewer PKs. This was PAINFUL to read.
One reason they removed sheriff's was disarm :) And because then arresting was way to easy. So one problem solved two new to work at :)
I hate agreeing with Trempk, but yeah, remove ERs, that would be my primary solution.
If you want to keep ERs and still fight the wanted saga, bring back Sheriffs. We brought sheriffs in the first place because crime got out of hand and players harrassed and got away. We removed sheriffs because at the time, even though i didnt agree, players were able to uphold the law between themselves. However, now with the introduction of ERs, we are back to the point where criminals are getting away with harrassement and so forth, so, in essence, use a solution that has ALREADY worked. Bring back sheriffs, problem solved.
Yeah but as trempk probely meant is, you get a party attack and hunt, then when he is low you solo handcuff him.
The idea is a 30 second or so cooldown period for both parties where they can't be attacked or handcuffed again, so you can get away, etc.
How would that prevent others from butting in on it either before or after the arrest took place?
I think Kelos's idea is most promising, arrests 1 on 1, imho...it requires a little more work but seems like the best thing i've seen on this 'meeting'...
Kalmah, my comment was intended to express that the most mind numbing stupidity was coming from ERs. FRs were not particularly more impressive.

ERs should just be removed. Simple as that, poof and its done, wipe your tears. Make the playing field as level as possible.
Heh, you're not even on the game and you talk in terms of FRs and ERs regarding an OOC conversation. You're all just people behind screens and 90% of you got FR alts anyways, so. It's fucking mind boggeling to see this great big wedge driven between the players honestly.

I liked the part where Drogian says 'Yes or no with 5 words max explaining it, one say per character' and people write paragraph says and argue about unrelated things, or dumbasses like Hellflame answer 4 or 5 times.
People can't seem to follow THE MOST BASIC of instructions. My hope for finding a single brain between all ERs combined has been smashed, and my opinion of most of the people at that meeting is inalterably lowered.
Don't like that. I think it's cool that you can sometimes go wanted and get away with it. The thing is, it should be something you can do like every once in a while, with great effort. Not something you can do every single time you get reported.
Remove wanted....If you commit a crime you pay for it. plain and simple.

I guess there is really no idea talking about the meeting here but I think some of the ideas was really good, either remove wanted at all, perhaps make the time you have to pay a bit longer.
or, make wanted people only be able to be on the grid, no hiding.
or, make make arresting a 1vs1 matter, I think that perhaps any of those can make things better.
Just the fact that they held a meeting like this shows promise. + taking news 57 into consideration, I'd say things are starting to look better up ahead.
