I lost a brother of the game, and a good friend. Its sad considering the people that are talking shit about him are half the man he is and are half the player he will ever be. *shrug* Maybe Khaedes has put up more kills then him with all his alts combined, maybe Altar has made more of a name for himself. But something Kalmah won't be known as, as the rest of those fucks i just named is a Backstabbing friend. The only time you can be friends with those people that are talking shit about him, is if you have gold/power/influence on the game somehow, otherwise they could give a fuck less. I speak from experience.

Just because some people complained Im going to kill random Quickblades when I come back. Then for every complaint made I will kill one random and kind hearted newbie. Yeah that makes so much sense. Denara is harassing newbies by reporting people who attempt/kill him! Are you on crack? And why should they have to make nice with a single hitlisted player, it's not like Atalash was as powerful as BkD. The only one at fault for killing newbies was Atalash, and if I was Denara or Byrack or whoever hell else he killed or attempted, I would have reported too. Keep in mind I'm not dissing him as a player, just stating his recent actions make him guilty for harassing newbies and it is utterly ridiculous to impose blame on any member of the Quickblades.

Jaron, Atalash was targetting the head. The head offended him and then did not make itself availible to be so much as attempted. Atalash moved down the body until he found someone availible to retaliate against. Sounds exactly like what has happened with other guilds for ages. Myrddin fucks someone off, so they send assassins after Tiresias or Detrid or Riaan. Roika fucks someone off, so they send assassins after all PoT.
The newbies in quickblades put themselves in the line of fire voluntarily. If you join a guild, you get extra features (armoury, saferoom), pay extra costs (rent), and open yourself to extra liabilities (being killed for the actions of your guildmates). The fact that quickblades are newbies does not exempt them from this principle. Were they not guilded they would not be killed; were they not guilded in a guild that people disliked, and rather had joined a guild who was at peace with everyone, they would not be killed.

Wow, that's some fucked up logics there Tireless. Atalash killing newbies is Denara's fault? And killing newbies is still killing newbies, wether you do it for some lame reason or without it.

Either way, the point was that you killed a bunch of members of a 'newbie' group, and nobody got upset. Nobody got upset about anyone warring PoT, though at least 3 groups I can think of did it. And now everyone's jumping all over Atalash for doing exactly the same time? When FRA was goign after NiA, as I recall, they were asking for a DEATH to call off the dogs. BKD only asked for a bit of gold, AND supplied their protection, and everyone's on BKD's case over it? God damn.
I only killed like two of them. It was PoT that I killed a lot of. I was mostly amused because my antics ended up on the Durnath Arnen website and were very hilarious.
I unfortunately lost the log I took while I had my ER of you comming that we should be targetting lowbies and newbies because they'd die easier. You spreekilled newbies and didn't give shit all back, and used the fact they were newbies as the criteria to target them. Atalash targetted a group with purpose and intention, and they happened to be newbies. If you can't see the difference, and if you can't see that Atalash at his worst was a better person than you or any of your friends ever will be, then you're even more of a stupid fuck then everyone (including me) says you are.
QB does not have some kind of newbie shield defending them against all PKs. Atalash began a campaign against quickblades targetting their bigger members, and, in retaliation for an objectionable practice (reporting a solo attempt) he killed guildmates as they became availible. Unfortunately for him (and them), the more experienced Quickblades didn't make themselves availible, so the only way for him to retaliate was against their younger members. If ANYONE is guilty of harassing newbies, it's Denara or whoever it was that reported the first attempt and refused to make nice with Atalash.
When Darkfall was actually a newbie (no matter what your skill level, after you've been around long enough you no longer count as a newbie) he got killed MANY times by higher eschelon players for petty reasons. Same as Tiresias when he had just started, Detrid when he was newish, Myrddin while the guild was still Cymbrogi... What happened to accountability? Old guilds wanted strong players not just to increase their strength, but because lower skill players were a liability. When someone initiated a guild conflict with a guild with weaker players, the weaker players were the first to fall. It seems obvious to me that the reason you'd want to avoid a guild exclusively composed of newbies was because any moderate skill level assassin can single-handedly nail your ass to the wall.
Oh, and Arawn declared a 1-man war against Durnath Arnen and killed most of the lower skill members.
So fuck off, everyone who talks down about Atalash because of his last conflict. Atalash's typists was a great, positive influence on the game. Even if you think Atalash's recent actions were less than honourable, you're just being contrary and stubborn if you refuse to admit that his net positive contributions to the MUD were greater than his net negative contributions.
Of course, Altar seems incapable of saying anything that isn't utterly retarded, so no suprise there.
Altar you shouldnt talk about newbie killing. Do you remember how many people you banged while BP was in the game? Shut the fuck up your stupid fuck.

Let me elaborate. Atalash was someone who was tasteless and vindictive enough to pick on a group of newbies for no other reason than to get some trite bit of enjoyment out of others' sufferings. And for this, I deem him a failure. A failure to the t2t community, and a failure as a decent person.
So it is for the newbies, the health of our social system, and the goodness of our game that I smile at his demise.

Kalmah was cool, its a shame Atalash and I won't have our promised rivalry. I was hoping to post a few more logs with his name on it.
But in all honesty, he made a consolidated effort to help restore the Udungul after I helped tear it down, and it was well appreciated. He had his heart in the right place, although I must say I personally feel his actions as of late against newbie guilds was out of place.
I really don't see how he failed either as a person or as a character. He was one of the best guild members to have, always loyal and busting his ass to help out his guild. I've known him for a couple of years or more now, and he was also a great friend. I think that makes him a pretty successful character, as those kind of people are somewhat rare nowadays. And from as much as I know him, he's also a pretty successful person. But go on, Altar, we all enjoy your pulled out of your ass 'I-HATE-YOU-SO-YOU-MUST-SUCK-AT-LEAST-AS-MUCH-AS-ME' comments.

When I heard about this, it really made my night. What a great culmination for all of Kalmah's failures as both a character and a person.
