    The plains of Harondor, the border region between Gondor and Harad,
stretch out before you.  A large expanse of fertile land with rolling
hills and thriving wildlife, it now lies deserted due to its proximity
to the Dark Lands, and control of the land has become debatable between
the Corsairs and the Kings of Gondor.

    This is a wide and dusty path, leading to the small farming town of
Galenwath.  Weeds and large patches of grass line the edges of the path.
The ground here is very dusty and seems to be used quite often.  A few
tracks embedded into the dirt appear to have been created by the wheels
from a wagon.  There is a large wooden gate at the end of the path that
is latched to a fence which spans one hundred feet in both directions.

You open the gate and walk through the entrance.
The gate closes behind you.
    This is the center of the small farming community which surrounds
you.  You are struck by the abject poverty in which the population of
this town lives.  The few small buildings in the village are falling
apart and the people look weary.  The square is eerily quiet and nearly
empty.  In the middle of this unpaved square is a well surrounded by a
few flat stones.  On the eastern edge of the square is a small hut which
appears to be a general store.  To the northeast is a larger building
you recognize as the all-important tavern, while paths lead north,
northeast, and southwest.

produced during a severe rainstorm.  Inside the hut, blankets have been
spread across the bare ground and a meager pile of torn, dirty clothes
rests carefully on top of the blankets.  The place is devoid of all
furniture, and it doesn't appear as though there is any food anywhere.
Given the fact that this is a farming community, one would expect at
least a larder full of food.

 and fear grips your heart as he glares down at you.  He has piercings and war
 paint all over his body.  His muscles seem to be ripping out of his body, and
 you can tell that he is obviously a high ranking leader in The Dark Lord's
 army.  You can tell he would be a very tough opponent in battle, and you would
 rather not fight against him.

The ground here is very dusty and seems to be used quite often.  A few

is latched to a fence which spans one hundred feet in both directions.

few flat stones.  On the eastern edge of the square is a small hut which
appears to be a general store.  To the northeast is a larger building
you recognize as the all-important tavern, while paths lead north,

The ceiling of this edifice is dotted with ugly water stains, no doubt
produced during a severe rainstorm.  Inside the hut, blankets have been
spread across the bare ground and a meager pile of torn, dirty clothes
rests carefully on top of the blankets.  The place is devoid of all
furniture, and it doesn't appear as though there is any food anywhere.
