Burgul, while he may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, he is smart enough to get a reasonable handle on this game. He's smart enough that he'd know better if he was capable of being rational about this place.

I figured as much Hirgail. I tried to talk to him after he killed Lupin. Basically it was all swearing blah blah blah. WAY before I told him he's going to die. I was trying to be reasonable and keep him off hitlist. We've killed him 5 times before this but he'll if he wants to keep it this way he's perma hitlisted. That means I get lots of fun with Alkath!!!:)

Well... 2 dark rings and morgoth and vovs might've been a bit overkill with perrota being seemingly afk, thus making it a 2v2 fight. But why not spend the items when you've already prepared eh? :)
Gizmalin is a seriously delusioned person, as are most prolific PKers on this game. Everything he says serves his ego in some way. If he dies they are noobs for killing him using some trick instead of just standing there and fighting him the way he wants to be fought. If they escape they are noobs for running away. And everytime he does successfully kill someone it reinforces all the delusional beliefs he has built up. Go over the his logs and some of his comments here. He's not joking around. He has a serious psychological and emotional investment in this game.
Alkath and I really thought we were going to take on three. That was the plan.. But I'm a firm believer better safe than sorry.
