The odds may change over time, but whatever the odds are when you give me the gold is what your return will be. Also the odds are decided purely on a whim by me.
I'm starting up a booking agency and offering odds on this war. 1.2:1 BKD will win. 3:1 it will be Durmanhoth. Which means you give me 1k and BKD win, you get 1.2k back. You give me 1k and Durmanhoth wins you get 3k back. (I'll not accept bets from BKD or Durm members or people that would likely throw the war just to screw me out of gold!)

Increasing guild activity alone does not make a good GM. Azer was a Dung or PoT-grade politician at best, and singlehandedly blew a lot of BkD's cred. (Paragon and a couple of his other croneys didn't help matters.) Where I come from, you don't create a big PR mess and expect the next GM to clean it up.

I still don't get it why you people talk so much crap when you don't have a clue? Manni you really think this was about ompalompa and torah and who ever else was involved? This started long before, this started when durm members attacked us, sure you paid us lots of gold to keep us happy, but then you reach a limit, and you guys crossed it, you cannot keep us happy with gold, you need to learn how to control your members. You're right that it certainly makes a peaceful solution trickier. We'll see how it goes. I don't think either guild wants to wreck the other. I think we both just need to get some frustration out and go on our ways.

I thought Azer was a good GM, too. I wouldn't judge Balzamon by what he does in his first couple weeks as GM, but letting in Baklen because he's itchen for killen some Durms is a mistake. I think we'll work all this out. It'll be fine. People just have aggression bottled up and they need to get it out.
