He's always been like that. I recall when I had an ER and his first character had just hit level... 17 or something, and he was on the ER comm talking about how he was going to Rhosgobel signpost to kill some FRs! As a necromancer! And laughing at how much his enemies suck that they had to run from him after he attacked, or how much his enemies suck that they had to bring superior equipment and hunt him!
He's always fully believed (and on many occasions expressed) his honest belief that he is the best player on the game. Azrylar just exacerbates the preexisting condition.
