This is a meeting-place, set aside by the leaders of Bree for the
many adventurers, explorers and others who pass through this crossroads
town seeking long-lost friends or new acquaintances.  It is said that if
you spend an hour or two here, you can not help but walk away with a new
friend... or a new enemy.  There truly is nothing remarkable about this
spot, but it has become the tradition for people to meet here.  There is
a large sign planted in the ground here near a stack of books.
