I'd like to accompany this log with a quote, "^ [OOC] Manni: True dwarven pride is on the rise, with BKD applicants and new members disguising dunedain so Durmanhoth doesn't immediately recognize them" This guy apparently left BKD, disinterested in fighting a bloody, futile, and painful conflict. Next time you're online, kudo Azer for this aftermath.

In the traditional Durmspeak, it's referred to as 'mad illoquence 'n' hellacution.'

Ah, those were the days (no they weren't).

That is exactly what happened Tireless. I was a new and was like Aragon woo! I was even a dunedain ranger ranger at first. Hard to believe it took me this long to namechange. *Shrugs*

The story he told me was that when he was new to the game he picked Aragon instead of aragorn (since it was restricted), and realized what a poor choice it was afterwards.

And I have to say I disagree with Atalash here. While perhaps thesaurus usage is unwarranted in day-to-day situations, one should always speak with the best English at ones disposal. In some peoples' cases, however, even that is still pretty shitty :(

Maybe he was going for a 'Aragorn', maybe not 'Eragon', a little more LOTR related. That's what I thought

Except the thing is, you use your good English in business meeting and shit. Elsewhere, when you have to go around flaunting your leet English skillz, it just looks stupid :p

Well if you only left because of opinions about the war, I think going back was probably a smart move.

The whole situation is a little perplexing.

I believe the word you are looking for is, 'effortless expression of oneself while in possession of an extensive vocabulary'. I know it is a contrast 2 all teh own4rs around here, sry.

The fact that I wasn't bkd stands as Tireless says, however I handled this the right way I believe. As soon as I decided to rejoin BKD I sent Pollux a mail (as he was going to cover my death costs) saying that I had changed my mind and it was not necessary in doing so. I could have hid my guildinfo or waited till I had the cash to rejoin but I do have a sense of honor.

1.) Aragon was not a member of BKD at the time of the kill. That has not changed.

2.) Lomar is Fyng's roomate, so of course they spend a lot of time together.

I wonder where Azer is? Surely not doing a great job at fighting the war that he started. He's probably off getting drunk, like usual, and shit talking. Never did he have any dignity, but now, he's throwing dignity, that he doesn't have, away.

he was not begging for his life he was stating a fact.. and the sole reason they came to kill him.. shame they didn't believe him really.

I agree with Manni! Funny seeing Aragon begging for his life. Haha. He's the one who usually brags about how BkD is good and stuff.

Also my comm quote is a paraphrasing...

Delkin auctioned the BkD guild pack with a tag of 'Buy back your Dwarven pride, BkD'

Panda commed that Dwarven pride is about more than a guild pack

    I responded with that comm.

Now... I do agree with Panda that dwarven pride is about more than a guild pack and auctioning guild items amounts to little more than a tease or a very mild taunt, like announcing 'legend so and so' on the comm. And BkD is certainly entitled to their pride. They've got a great history and a great guild. But I think that disguising race to try and throw us off the scent is a little silly and it kind of undermines that idea of dwarven pride.

We'd heard rumors that he'd left BkD, but we weren't sure and didn't have a definite way of knowing. On Friday, I called off a hit on Parethian because I didn't know for sure and it turned out Parethian did join. Today I didn't know either, but I'm always skeptical of people who say they've left a guild. We probably should've talked it out and have him come apply/unapply to Durmanhoth, but this is just one of those things that happens in war.

    My apologies to Aragon.

He was in BKD GH all day, next find I get is Belegost. So he dies no questions asked. I wouldn't be surprised if a dwarf cut his beard off in front of me and wiped my ass with it at this rate, spamming that say wasn't going to stop me. I do regret him dying as a casualty, but that's what happens when egomaniacs try and flex their legacy.

Just dug this up this interesting tidbit:

    'Logan's story reads:

2006: Logan departed at 78 days of age some 2 years ago

Came back, maxed out in 16h (lvl 19) GM of BkD in 22h

Abdicated at 1d and xh when revenge was claimed, Now retired.'

As much as I've disagreed with Fyng in the past, I think this shows -exactly- what he's talking about.
