I lost half the log due to turing off brief to try and find myself in the backhunt, noticed I was owning them, and forgot to turn it back on in the heat of battle. the only part that is missing is me stabbing pingulim, and i get taken to a back hunt I stabbed at perfect...not much missed from that much of the log (sorry for the long descritpion) :P
I rarely play with brief on. It's always been easier for me to get around with it off, since I know the part of the screen to look at for the directions, the general description of most rooms, and so on. Everything's all scrunched together with brief.
Not that I log anything anyway, I tend to stay out of the PvP scene.

Verbose shows the direction the road goes. Brief only tells you whether you're on the road or not (although you can generally assume in a room with exits w,e,s,n,ne, the road goes ne and e or s).
Never understod that. Why would verbose help with roads? You see the road name, and you should know the general direction of the roads.
I turn verbos on because I find it easier to find and folow roads when lost.

Until about hmm...a year or so ago I used to play entirely in verbose. Hell, when I still get lost, I'll turn it on and find myself in less than 20 or so seconds, easier to follow the roads and whatnot. You get used to it anyways, just looking for keywords etc. Go verbose!
I don't understand how people can be more able to find themselves in verbose mode, especially in PKs. I mean, text is flying by too fast to read all of it even in brief mode; it's just a blur in verbose. What do you look for that you get in verbose but not brief?
This log was a whole lot of nothing, followed by spam, and ended with a whole lot of nothing, turn brief on to :)
For some reason, not having brief on just ruins any log.
