BB you're wrong. About 2 days before he left to go live in Eastern Europe, truffles myself and him killed MT guards for like an hour, to get him up to level 20. And yeah, that's the only recollection I have of him leaving the GH to do something more productive then ESvial, but he's generally quite busy in the GH when he's there.
Uh, Korzan, gotta call you wrong on that one. Variel NEVER left his guild for the last 3 years b/c of the 5k contract on his head. (well, he did travel between his gh and the mcouncil room ocassionally, but thats hardly an exception)
In a little aside, I would like to gather everyone around and tell a little story.
One day, some months ago, I was feeling a little youthful and ready to get it on with some Rohan women. So anyway, I put on my sailor suit and hat and roll on over to the Edoras bar. Much to my surprise, I encounter Variel during my journey across the Rohan Plains. Not recognizing me in my little getup and thinking I was a young, helpless, lost Eorling boy, he took advantage of....Oh it's too much. I can't say anymore, except oh wait. Never mind, its _Variel's_ guild which is getting raped.
Well, I do leave the Guildhall every now and again... But I've always spent a good portion of my life idling in it, and since all I do anymore is pull strings, I feel quite comfortable with it. If you're paying attention you will see me out a few times a week for a good deal of time, though, regardless of who is online.

What's so unreal is the fact that you're under a day old. Just like whoever 'Kalin' is that posted on the gossiper about how the evil Rismilval whined sooooo much that they got the guild_alliance stuff changed! Variel, on the other had, used to leave the guild a lot, UNTIL the war started. Then he dissappeared from sight when the war started, leaving only rumors and Quark-sightings.
Yeah yeah. When was the last time anybody saw Manni out of his guildhall? I reckon it was when he did that SoB theft thing, because I run finds on him all the time, and I think I might have gotten one momentary 'Rhovanion at the Wilderness' in the last few weeks.

Actually, variel DOES go as far down as the Rohan plains occassionally. He goes to the Small house on the Rohan plains, aka green vial quest, because there's a sheriff-only huntbreak that can be used there. So he feels pretty safe about doing that, I wager.
