I don't think the MUD would be as much fun without it's 'unruly yobbish' element. As much as I disliked Amearn, Spartan and their ilk at various times, I think the community would be all the poorer without them. I haven't had as much experience with the 'Herkimorons', but I daresay the same might be true of them.
The thing is, Arawn and the likes of him had bad attitude and now you guys are killing VCs for it. Arawn can't be happier I guess.

This nebulous goodwill-toward-Herkies would be all well and good if it weren't for Khaos's blatant multiplaying in the past month.
I drove across country over the holidays. While in NY State, I passed a sign on the highway that read:

I went through a range of emotions. First, I was scared, I started looking around at other cars, then i realized that if this WAS the same herkimer, all of the evil residents were home mudding, not driving around.
Then I felt curious. Was this, in fact, the same Herkimer?
I agree with Manni. And yes, it isn't a guild issue. Herkimer is a big part of this mud.
This Herkimer crap should stop. There are maybe 15 or 20 kids from there who play and maybe 1 or 2 PKers. I really honestly do not believe that those 1 or 2 PKers commit egregious rule violations. Sure a few of the guys from Herkimer can be a little bristly and make formidable enemies, but don't take it out on the whole town or accuse them of committing these mysterious countless rule violations.
They're not that bad and they deserve a chance to be viewed objectively. There were things that were tolerated under Draugluin when these guys started that aren't tolerated now, so I think it's only fair that after a few nukings and a few months of an opportunity to straighten up their actions, that they not be wildly accused of cheating that simply has not happened for months.
This isn't even a guild issue; Herkimites are fairly inactive in my guild now. I just think it's misconstruing these guys' histories and present day actions.
I'm not entirely sure of that. He's proclaimed people Utterly Free of Any Wrongdoing just days after nuking their alts, knowing he's talking about the same people... it's just silly. He knows half the problems in the game are caused by people who've been reinstated, or who only had some of their alts nuked, but he doesn't seem to care. I think it's a lack of foresight--he wants to punish the bad action, not the bad actor, not seeing that the soft touch has no preventive value. His apparent pity for Herkimer certainly doesn't improve things, either.
Yeah... Well Tulkas has only been PoL for under a year now. I'm sure at some point he'll get sick of the same half dozen people messing the game up by bending the rules and he'll start nuking and banning, too.

Hell, if I acted and talked like you did on a constant basis, I'd expect to be nuked.
I like how they just suspend people and give them plenty of warnings nowadays, instead of mass nuking months of hardwork without indicating that is coming first.

I was travelling from mt to edo, suddenly i was stroke my kado. By mistake i drank ulmo as long with my phial, so i thought i wouldn't waste it and started to fight these 3 dunlendings. Shame, when i was fighting and killed Khaos earlier, ep went to 0 and eaglesight turned off while i haven't noticed that. Otherwise it would prolly end worse for Duncan.

Dear ainur, could you please STOP making cosmetic changes to trivial things like gala vials? What does it matter if the person who quaffs the blue vial dances or dances SLOWLY? A month ago my sub for ulmo worked, now it doesn't. You could code more newbie quests for example.
