The Brawls of Dunland was a fighting tournament for all creatures in Arda. Fighters came from far lands to try their luck. The contest took place in the Taril Haleth guildhall in Dunland. There were solo fights and team fights. The contestants were: Solo fighters in order of character age: Carver, Thalus, Ravathir, Jerf, Zillak, Xafer, Omit, Seraph, Korbin, Octavian, Cordox, Kalas, Axis and Narshock The teams: The 'Dunland' team - Kalas, Ravathir and Jerf The 'Amruin' team - Maerythia, Octavian and Oakwood The 'Evil' team - Perrota, Zagthak and Narshock The rules, stated before the contest were: // 1. Every race, profession or alignment is allowed to participate. Even the strawheads and the nasty orcs are children of nature. The evil creatures might have trouble with the ents guarding the passes to the west but that is their own concern. Maybe with some assistance from the spirits they could be transported to the village for the event. - The fighters must preserve each other's life. This means: 2. Merciful on. (With the new changes in mind). ///Special thanx to Aule for taking care noone would abuse the contest to kill people and special thanx to Osse for making sure noone would abuse the lawsys./// 3. If your opponent dies, you will be disqualified. 4. All weapons/armours/spells/etc are allowed - Exceptions: 6. No Galadriel vials. This foul elf's magic is too unfair. 7. No lethal weapons/poisons/stuff (no MM poison for example). A blackfang is allowed though since it's not lethal. No flaming longswords either. - The very fight: 8. The fight begins with a signal. Every participant will be given the opportunity to wear armours/rings/etc before the fight. However, note that you must carry your equipment on yourself. If you drop a potion on the ground, the other fighter might drink it before you. 9. No backstabs. 10. All special attacks during combat are allowed. 11. Blinding your opponent is not allowed. 12. No help from others/animals/etc in the solo fights. Mounts and animals are allowed in the team fights. - All combatants will be given enough time to recover from the last fight/get ready for the new fight. Once in the village, the contestants will not be allowed to leave until the end of the contest. If something must be brought from your innroom/auction/GH/etc, ask a friend or a dunlending. Once again, it is best to make sure you carry your belongings with you. You may use the Taril Haleth armoury to store equipment for use in the later combats. - The safety of the contestants is the prime concern. Highlevels are encouraged to participate. Any fight may be restricted for bystanders for safety concerns. - There will be 1v1 fights and team fights. All fights will be with direct elimination. The teams for the team fights have to consist of maximum 3 members.
