this is what boredom does, i was dressed to kill for someone else, but they never left gh and logged off, so it was random target time!

If you guys want to go around killing each other, fine. That's your right, I respect that.

Just leave the bystanders out of it. Is that too much to ask? To respect another player's right to play the game the way they decide? Some of us really do enjoy reading the desciptions in the rooms, exploring the grid and fighting with the NPCs in the War of the Ring because we really are Tolkien fans, not gamers. It was quite interesting, however, to find out about this site and to read about my death. I do so enjoy feeling like an ass.

I seem to recall somewhere in the rules about this not being a 'PK mud.' I suppose the law system that paid me 1,811 gold for my troubles is supposed to uphold that rule somehow. Considering I'd worked my butt off for a very long to time finally achieve level 20 (only to have it ruined after literally a couple hours of gametime because someone got bored) that compensation doesn't come close to making up for the letdown.

Anyway, I'm glad to see my death was looked down upon by most of the people posting here. Indeed, I'm a 'newbie' when it comes to PK, and my huntbreak knowledge is limited. Oh, and by the way, the log fails to note the fact that I was unarmed and wearing no armour short of a pack, empty baldric and cooking gear. The murderer also told me he was fulfilling a contract which he clearly wasn't.

I'm not contracting him in return and will not seek vengence myself because that's not why I spend time on T2T. But perhaps this posting will encourage the more 'skilled' players to deal with someone in the ranks who gives them all a bad name.

One might say I behave cowardly in the game for not fighting back or for not engaging in the PK fun, which I'm sure it can be. But who's really the coward? Me, or the killer attacking unarmed, unsuspecting players?

Random killing people is lame, the percent of it being a total newbie may be low, and if it shows it is a newbie well then thats Very lame. I think they have a name for that......

I think he was waiting for me, but I didnt feel like doing anything that day and I didnt want to risk getting disconnected by my parents shitty isp. Going back to college today though, so I wont have to worry about that until summer.

Still wondering if Avaar and Spartan would dare attack anyone skilled at all.

I dont think this was a good kill at all. Random targets that dont know huntbreaks arent very exciting.
