While daywalker is trying, there isn't enough of a structure left in the towers to cover spreekillers as well as had been way in the past. And Manni, they do fit the spreekiller catagory. They kill only for killings sakes and seek to do so actively. Spreekillers way back in the day often were better locked down and the more notables were low level killers. But there is no proven range of time a spreekiller lives. They view the game purely as a pvp/logistical game and nothing more (no emmersion[sp?] into the environment of tolkien etc).

Duncan, I'm not trying to say you're not justified in warring these guys because I absolutely think you are. They're obviously looking for a challenge in PKing just like you.

Yeah, Manni, I always war with a cause. That is, in this case, to inflict vengeance upon spreekilling lowlives before they get nuked. What would make me want to win if I had no cause?

Sounds like some shitty karma... It's funny though, because usually characters who kill a bunch of people are alts... But people barely ever play an alt at a reboot.

And if those guys think they can do whatever they want, they are wrong.

The mud still has players good enough to kick their ass all around the place.

Actually Manni, you are right about the type.

Their type is a bit different.

They play only at reboots actively, very seldom they attack in middle of reboot.

They attack only when they are together.

The playstyle is claimjump everyone they can at reboot to get as many uniques as possible. This involves if possible killing the claimers.

Then, the uniques are sold to cover fines and they quit and never log on even within margin of 2-3 reboots.

They killed/attacked random Galadhrim, Beornings, BKD, Meglivornth, Udungul, Amruin,FRA and I have no idea about the others as I don't keep track of their actions.

I have heard of many guildless too that got killed without having any idea or enemy in their whole mudlife.

This is what I mean by spreekillers.

I think they're using a different definition of 'spree' than are you, Manni. The characters in question apparently (I've never been online when any of them did their killing) kill in a sort of blitzing manner -- multiple kills in a short period of time, surprising their victims -- and without a discernible pattern to their target selection. Thus a group that only killed 3 people per month could conceivably fit this alternative definition.

It's important to distinguish between spree killing and killing. Spree killers tend to pick random targets of lower level, not pay their fines, and have a character life of days and weeks, not months, of real time. Killers tend to select their targets with some pattern (affiliations, behaviors, contracts, higher levels), pay their fines most of the time (at least until fines are maxed, but that's more a lawsys issue than a spree vs kill distinction), and continue their characters' lives for extended periods of time.

The fact that I've seen logs of Bandor, Merenor, Alnait, and Valten being attacked by the same group of Duncan, Mello, and Berrus for 3 months now indicates to me that these characters do not fit the profile of spreekillers... More that there is a war going on between you and them.

    Tevildo, you are an idiot.

I would say that your guildmates deserve to be banged by the spreekillers Valten, Bandor and Merenor, but they never leave gh further than your forging hole.

I swear you need to be locked up in a part of the mud where you can whine to yourself without bothering other people.

Who needs a war to bang a neutral, AFK level 17?
