Please abstain from using sexual orientation slurs as insults. It is the same category of word use as racial and ethnic slurs. If you really are so lacking in creativity that you think you need sexual orientation slurs in order to insult someone there is something very seriously wrong with you. It's not ok, and don't do it any more.
By my interpretation of rule 9 of the site the use of racial, ethnic or sexual slurs generates an environment which produces the sort of harassment the rule forbids. The next person to use 'gay', 'queer', 'fag' or any derivative thereof as an insult or diminutive gets a warning.
