Mappers? Back in the good old days they'd nuke you for having a compass, let alone a map. Obvious exits were 'out, out, out, and out.' Unlocking a door took eight men and a detailed thematic justification. Of course, back then half the players were Amish and mudded from butter churns, which were coincidentally also the best mounts available at the time. Churn-panniers were scarce and coal-powered. You had to hitch your churn to a plow and plant a cabbage field every hour on the hour to stay fed or else suffer permadeath. Melkor was working on a plugin to force the taste of boiled cabbage into players' mouths, but that plan was derailed when Rauko instituted a pwipe as punishment for underuse of the 'breathe' command. Breathing took two hundred EP and cancelled aura. Damned if it didn't make Mordor fun, though. Mordor was in Bywater at the time and was also coal-powered. The great Coal-Cabbage Wars eventually put an end to that, leaving the Silver Guardians as the only group with enough churns left to plow a door open...
In the period in which I played with/against Fyng he didn't use mappers. As a point of pride he would do backhunt drills with me where I'd try and get him as lost as possible and he'd get unlost in about 3-4 rounds (by hand -- we played this game in person once or twice and his performance didn't suffer; he definitely could not have been using a mapper then.)
Then again, in his advanced age he may have given in. I can't speak to anything more recent than Dofro.

TB/FRA/STWA ran the damn mud for what, 2 years or so? I can't recall anybody disliking them or holding a grudge against them for it the way players do against herks/fyng. Sure, those guys had plenty of asshole moments, but they were never nearly as invasive and fucking annoying as you tools.
By the way, I am not giving you guys anywhere near the credit of those other players (a lot of it has to do with the fact that they did it when the regular online player number was around 100) in terms of controlling the MUD, but take a hint. Don't be complete fucking cunts 95% of the time and you won't be nuked/banned/hated by the majority of the community.

I think you're missing the point, Fyng. What you said is valid: yes, the people who dislike you are your opponents in PvP. That is _not_ the same as being disliked for being 'too good at pk.' This is human nature we're discussing, not something that evolves as T2T moves on. In-game disputes start over all sorts of ridiculous stuff, but I can't think of a time when any conflict started with a bunch of people sitting around going 'shit, that guy is just too good! I hate him for his mad skills! Grrrr!' I mean, maybe you're correct, and maybe in my time away from T2T the entire population has been replaced by comic book villains who are annoyed with you solely because you're so damn good at what you do. I spoke to Volun the other day, i used to get along pretty well with him back in the day. Didn't sound anything like him, tried to ask him about old day to confirm it was still his typist. He got very vague and didnt answer for a while. Definately not the same typist, someone mentioned his brother plays his char alot. Seems a shame, i wonder if Amearn even knows. The number of inaccurate reports filed results in difficulty fishing out the accurate cases of MP. Valinor wants to make sure they don't make false positive IDs on cheaters which means sometimes it takes them a while to take action.

I didnt knock them as far as the bug fixes and what not, I am referring to them disregarding cheating like that. It has been reported by several people and they just let it slide. Maybe I don't understand it because I have never cheated, but people who Mp and character share should be nuked on the spot.

I personally think the ainur are doing great jobs, but they can't catch everything. It's nice to see the drama on T2T is still alive and well, though I'm a bit concerned that my monthly drive through Herkimer has been more dangerous than I realized.

Mute there was a difference between playing a friend waiting for a chance, to his real friends. So many people have pretended to be peoples friends on the mud, just to turn around and stab them in the back. For example Durms joining QB pretending to be everyones friends and then, overthrowing the GM and letting a bunch more durm alts into the guild. Fyng's true friends never got betrayed.
Fyng's mediocre pk'ing skills never really dazzled anyone. The only thing that did amaze anyone was how many people went quickly from 0 to bros to being betrayed by him.

Well Sigmund if you followed Fyng's comments and logs, he says he been nuked and banned more then anyone else in the history of the mud, but at the same time it isnt his fault and he never cheated or deserved to be nuked/banned. He is also the best pker on the mud and the reason everyone ever said anything negative about him is because he owned everyone so much that people had to trash talk him.

Cloudstrife is the account of the current-day Cloud. The reason for the name deviation is that there was a preexisting 'Cloud' account which had posted logs so I let today's Cloud register with a modification of his name on the condition that if he posts a log he must identify the character name.
