I don't think he inferred that it had to be true. He was giving it as justification for why he still shit talks. Ie. the shit-talking is rational based on his belief, whether or not the belief is true.

You can't change the punishment just because of the activity of a player, or because you like/dislike the player.
That was exactly the point of the log I posted a week or two ago. Everyone should be held to the SAME rules (Ainur, Players, Newbiehelpers etc) and the same punishments applied, consistently. If the punishment for transferring any char is nuke, then it was right to nuke here, regardless of the age of the player and their activity. He knew the risks when he decided to do it. He also hasn't said he won't be back, so I'm sure he'll get a hand levelling a new char.
Instead we see repeat offenders get multiple warnings over 3, whilst other people get nuked for a first infraction.
I'd actually like to see the Ainur (those in power) be held to a higher standard of the same rules than the players, as they should be setting the example.
I tend to disagree with the nuke. The players of the t2t are getting less and less and you nuke 1 of the most active ones (thrond).
Who gives a shit if they transferred it. They are not stealing your food are they? Compared to the herks, and here by herks i mean ALL of them, Thrond is an angel. I dont think the rules should be enforced blindly but balance in the mud has to be preserved over rules.

That's a far more dangerous precedent, in my eyes. I'm not sure how something like that can be one hundred percent verified. Apparently a series of threatening answerphone messages were forwarded to Mathias; messages in which Cecil identified himself and linked his aggravation to the MUD. Even so, I'm not convinced it's a good thing for Valinor to police events which occur off-game.
Well, we had a nuke yesterday (Cecil was it?) over real life stalking over mud issues.
I'm sad to see both of them nuked, but I don't think there's a conspiracy theory at work here. Especially not from Mathias who for all his many faults has always struck me as an equal opportunities sort of bastard. I hope they both come back, in any case.

Earlier today, Cruice admitted that Aryl and Ravathir were both capable of 'mud-sex-assault' on my ex-girlfriend over T2T because they disliked me.
Sadly, a shit-fuck ainur jumped in right as I was forcing Cruice to affirm his stance on the comm.... and I don't mean somewhat close in timing, I mean the 'Someone' suddenly appeared after about 10 minutes of conversation on the precise topic (by the way, Mathias suddenly 'disappeared' before the 'someone' intruded on the topic right as Cruice had to finally give a yes or no answer...

I'm finding these 'random' events to be a little too 'coincidental.'
The category 'herk' is not fairly applied to every person to whom it applies. Cruice is worlds more tolerable than Aryl, and Dexter is not as intolerable as Aryl. Plus, occasionally the PoL does their job -- Even though Azer is my friend, I say 'Go Salmar! Good job enforcing the rules!' I'd rather my friends suffer and the rule of law be enforced than my friends get treated extra well and the rule of law be forgotten.
If the 'herks' obey the rules every moment from now until the game is removed and all their opponents break the rules, I will cheer for Salmar deleting the enemies of the Herks for the rest of the lifetime of the game.

Anybody else notice the increase in 'random' lawsys coincidences within the last half year or so that people who get involved against Herks are running into?
Me thinks there are 3 possibilities here:
1- All the guys are cheaters that were punished.
2- Herks are law-reporting every fucking thing they see or imagine and some of the shit they throw at the wall is sticking.
3- Ainur are giving special consideration to Herks (i.e. allowing multiple hard-ban avoiders to come back full status).
Or maybe there are more options I'm missing?
