It's not really, it's simple. If you leave the game to avoid being killed then you're a quitter.
it is subjective, like if you are newbie you'd say that breaking and quitting is not quitting. but let's for instance say that it isn't your first time playing this game, breaking and quitting is quitting. in that way it is indeed very subjective

I always figured 'if your eq winds up on the ground where your enemy can get to it, you quit on them'.
So if you hole up in, say, the ranger tent in Harondor and quit... you're quitting on the person.

It all depends on the situation. If you run into a one-way break and cannot get back out without getting killed and quitting then yes i agree i think it's quitting. But if someone breaks and then goes to his innroom and quits, i do not think it's quitting.
breaking/quitting is still quitting to everybody who has ever gotten past lvl 14

I hate being in that situation Cruice, it has happened to me too. Just waiting for ep to run out, cursing at yourself for being too greedy on hunting, and meeting your maker in the end. *sigh* :)
