Jesus. Stop the press: Daywalker and I actually agree on something. I like the old alignment system that was based off of a number value. Back in the day you could 'disguise align -1500' for demonic, 'disguise align +1000' for Heroic, etc. There was a 500-point buffer for Shadowspawn and Hand of Eru, so if your alignment value was anywhere between -2500 and -2000, you were considered Shadowspawn. That gave you room to kill evils because, like Daywalker says, if you're evil you won't so much care if you kill evil. This 'new' alignment system is abysmal, and it makes the extreme alignments quite hard to maintain.
I all depends on what alts the Ainur play :p
In this particular game it is assumed there is a binary moral/evil system, evil leaning towards sauron, moral leading towards eru.
Killing people who lean slightly your way is going to affect your standing.
You're looking for warhammer, where there are not only good/evil balance, but also chaotic, so you can be lawful chaotic. We don't have a dual system like that.
Mirnac and how exactly did theme benefit from this bullshit change of alignment? Or the playability? Both suffer. I know there has to be balance and all, but ainur have proven to be short-sighted. Thats why I am usually against changes. If you change FRs to not be able to be Shadowspawn, then change the shadowspawn-depending gear down to demonic. One thing leads to another.
The way that 95/95 stat tag is littered all over this log leaves me to believe that you have the single shittiest client of anyone in T2T. Even uglier than Jakar's.
I love that when people want a feature there way they talk about theme or logic, but when they are against something they say playability before theme (or other way around) and this is a game you cannot look at it like real life.

Guys, I know you can be Shadowspawn, but you need to not kill a single evil NPC or you get down to demonic. This is STUUUPID! If you are evil, you wouldn't care if you are killing morals or immorals:) Just like Evil Races, why doesn't their align drop down when they kill evils? Cause they are just that evil! :) Catch my drift?
Changing the alignment was another thing that was perfectly well thought of and got ruined by ainur.

Unless they changed the whole universe it still misses like a motherfucker no matter how low your alignment is.
SoM = Shadowspawn. One signifies ER/sFR, one signifies FR.

Just because you don't have the title Shadowspawn of Mordor, does not mean you cannot have an alignment to push the weapon to its most powerful state. FR's get the title Shadowspawn (minus 'of Mordor'), but the actual alignment value remains the same.
Unless the SS was changed such that only true ER/Servant can get it powered up that is (I haven't used it in a long time).
You can be SoM as FR.
Thats also not true! SS is not 95/95 when you are not Demonic, and even then i don't think its 95/95, i believe its only for Shadowspawn, which the lovely idiotic ainur no longer allow for FRs.
