You are astounded by the vision of a huge black gate, carved on
its center lies the emblem of the dark lord, a terrifying red eye.
Enormous chains secure the pallid construction and an imposing iron
wall fills your gaze. The complete blackness that forms the
gate reminds you of an endless hole into which you could easily fall.
The rusty red edges on the walls give you the impression of
burning flames waiting to consume your spirit. The indistinct
voices and sounds mix with the nauseating atmosphere giving you the
most mournful feeling. From the solid rock parapet over the gate,
small heads stare at the crimson horizon, waiting for an intruder,
ready for dying in battle. The gate stands over the east and
west, the walls seem endless.
The feared Narchost stands imposing to the northeast.
The horrid Carchost towers high in the sky to the northwest.
The only obvious exits are northwest, west, north, east and

You stand at the foot of the Ered Lithui, The Ash Mountains.
The twisted rocky mountain chain is completely grey, and thick cloud
formations surrounding the high peaks give you a desolated feel, but
you know you are not alone, because as you look up a terrible view
forms before your eyes. Spread along the hard surface like a
huge anthill are small holes carved directly in the stone.
In each of these maggot-holes lies a disgusting sentinel, praying
for an order to leave his prison, waiting for the right moment
to release its anger, whining with squeaky voices, looking
at the road with attention.
The feared Narchost stands imposing to the northeast and north.
The sun shines brightly in the western sky.
The sky is brilliantly clear.
The only obvious exits are northwest, west, north, east and
northeast.

You raise your hand to knock on the gates when you hear an insane
laugh and then a hard thunk. It sounds like the orcs behind the gate
are laughing at you. Taking another look around, it appears that the
Mordor gates are guarded MUCH better than they have been in the past.
After considering this new predicament, you aren't sure if you really
want to continue. Knocking again would surely send you into the grip

A dim yet sinister red glow comes from the center of the Red Eye carved

knock on gate
Using all your strength, you knock on the Black gate, praying for luck.

Footsteps can be heard, coming to your direction...suddenly an iron
door carved in the gate opens and from it you can feel a warm breath...
You decide that it's too late to return and enter the gate...To the
land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

You slip inside the huge black gate, and find yourself in the middle
of a path that crosses the Morannon. Surrounded by grey and strong walls,
the huge stone parapet is directly above you. This would be the
perfect location for an ambush.
The only obvious exits are gate and south.

gate
The only obvious exits are northwest, west, north, east and
northeast.

north
The accursed gate seems to get higher and higher as you approach it.
A dim yet sinister red glow comes from the center of the Red Eye carved
on the gate's surface. From here you can clearly see hundreds of eyes
watching for intruders. You tremble and can hardly continue, afraid of
what may lie ahead. A dark mist surrounds the top of the two towers,
which are slowly becoming larger in your view. Panic invades your now
tired and lifeless body. You can't help but scream and think of better
times and places, but that doesn't help much when you open your eyes and
realize it may be too late to return.
The feared Narchost stands imposing to the northeast.
The horrid Carchost towers high in the sky to the northwest.
The sun shines brightly in the western sky.
The sky is brilliantly clear.

and south.
north
The Black Gate looms before you. The Red Eye emblazoned in it's
center seems to bore holes into your soul. Reality wavers for a second,
and nausea runs through you as you realize that each trembling step
brings you one step closer to Mordor - the heart of evil.
You are walking along the feared Cirith Gorgor, the haunted pass.
The road is worn and degraded, and your mind begs you to return
from where you came. You are astonished by the horrid view of
the Carchost and Narchost, the towers of the teeth. The two towers
seem to be watching you, draining the life from your body. Your
imagination seems to be teasing you as you hear deep voices calling
and inviting you to come closer.
The feared Narchost stands imposing to the northeast and east.
The horrid Carchost towers high in the sky to the west and northwest.
