Not to be offending, but I think I speak for the most of us when I say that we're sorta exhausted of reading complaints about lag :P I also use a mediocre modem and a telephone line, my connection also lags all the time and my standard playing ping is also 600-800... But I just don't bother to remind it in half the comments I make :P Lag's a bitch, and until you make some cash, and I convince my parents, we're not gonna have ADSL to make it go away :P So we'll just have to suffer quietly :p
You have no idea what lag is.Remember the last time T2T had lag for like a day?Noone would leave their GH.Only me because I was used to it, it's considered normal here, having good connection is luck.You have the BTC (bulgarian telecommunication company *BTC sucks!*) which adds to your like 800 ms lag when you have a fast connection.The record is 600 ms when you're REALLY lucky.I usually play with 1.2 secs lag (normal), lately with 4 seconds (that doesn't happen everyday but at least twice a day i get such lag (for like an hour).
You're american, you have no idea what lag is.I don't deny that sometimes I have fast connection though (600 ms:P) and it rocks.
On the Serex kill my scroll stopped moving for a while - you can see me typing many commands at once which activate later.My client does not make difference between new lines when they are empty and between commands/mud output in the log though.
May be you got lag but I suppose this is what we call fast connection here:P

Be careful when you say 'they' Baklen. I was there a couple rounds fighting after K died, seeing if I could make a difference. I just escaped getting hunted by one tick it looks like, so for that I am lucky. I don't know what Ulric was thinking about or what he and Khralek talked about before hand, so I am will neither defend his actions nor oppose them. I am not him, and I made a quick decision while I was there.
