Well, guess what? Id say both are right! Its the bad circle we're in. For some reason these things started, and noone has managed to take control of the situation and put it to an end in a reasonable way.

Yeah, i dont know why she decided to let us in on her own personal problems with the mud on this string, but nonetheless i respect her and She really needs to stay out of a flame war with tuareg. She's a respected and honorable person, anything she says here will just lowe rher respect, so Uinen, dont bother responding to Tuareg, everyone hates him anyway.
Uinen is right, this game used to be a whole lot more fun than now. SHE (winks at Wasach) used to be on all the time, happy to answer questions to people like me, and talk. She used to play a whole lot too, and it was nice having a knowledgeable person around. I miss the old days.
Sorry uinen, but i ain't going to leave the mud just cause of a small but EXTREMELY LOUD whiners. There are tons of people online who I have lots of fun with and I just ignore people who don't understand what a game is. I will keep having fun all the time even if i have to pay people 100 gold to go to the golf course so i can whoop on them!:P (yes then use the golf clubs to go kill gildor and other thing! hahhaha, have you ever seen 7 maxxed players killing gildor with only clubs!) I would like to thank everyone who works to have fun and takes this mud as a game which is sometimes a point that is so easily lost. ok, this is going back a bit...Talan, I understand what your saying about the difference between Udungul and PoM but there are reasons perpetuated (unintentionally) by you and your Guild that cause people to put the two together.
1)you the GM of the Udungul are a member of the PoM (well, last I heard anyway)
2)several Udungul are members of PoM
3)Does anyone know of a PoM member who is NOT and Udungul member? (Personnally I don't but I don't know everyone on the mud by a long shot)
I am not saying there is anything wrong with that at all either. That's your call as a Guild and your's Talan as the GM.
As for Uinen's post, I've only been here for almost 3 years now and I know what he means when he said that the whine/bitch/moan of players has increased to extremely idiotic levels. Everyone whines from time to time and lately it has gotten really bad.

In short, Bashgeroy no longer feels special because other people have learned about player combat. You have my deepest condolences. I can relate a bit to what Uinen is talking about. Sometimes this game can be downright unpleasant, which is pretty odd for something that's supposed to be just a game. I'm a programmer myself, and whining is one of the many reasons I never gave consideration to joining the Valinor. As far as I know, such whining pervades most online games. At least the ones I've played anyway.

Nobody makes you become anything.
However, attitudes like yours (aka 'the world owes me a pampered living' and 'if you disagree with me I'll hunt you down and kill you') are directly responsible for many old-timers leaving.
The whining seems to be on the rise, the players can't be pleased, the ainur are tired just trying to deal with the complaints, and have no time for new code, and anyway, people will just complain. People have stopped being nice, since nice gets you killed, and have started luring newbies to cheap deaths at Osgiliath.
I've played on this game for 6 years. Two months ago, I suicided my last char. (Level 20 Assassin, yes, being an ainur doesn't make you a clueless player). I've done every profession, every rank in Valinor, played ER's, worked on ER's, worked on newbie lands, worked on Minas Tirith. I've been in three clans, three guilds. I've made some wonderfull friends, some bad romances, some life friendships, and done several mud parties.
And finally, I quit. Both as an ainur and as a player. I got tired of dealing with an increasing number of jerks, seeing all decent minded, rational thought people leave, and being insulted at every turn. I tried to focus on being an ainur exclusively, only to discover that the Valinor of today is mostly burned out, with domains in disarray and no real release schedule. Why? Ainur are burned out, too tired dealing with whining complaints to really get into the gung-ho 'Let's do it!' attitude we had when we finish a major project, ala MT or Moria. Nobody has the energy to stand up and take charge, because people who take charge get yelled at. Ala the complaints and the insults of Culfinglin and Ariadne on the gossiper not so long ago.
So I left. I left some good friends behind, and for that I am sorry, but gosh, my stress level has gone way down! Plus I'm playing different games, and enjoying something /different/, new people, new surroundings, and a general niceness of the population. While Everquest lacks some of the things we mudders take for granted, I actually enjoy playing there, rather than dreading logging in and logging in only because I 'ought' to.
So while you didn't 'make' me leave, Sunshine, you and other whiners and elitists certainly made being on T2T an upsetting place to be.
If you don't like the company your with, leave. It's that simple. It'll make you feel alot better.

Wow, umm, I will keep my responce to that of one that doesn't insult you as much as possible because I don't know you well. Did you notice I was shielding my final member trying to do my best to get him out? The reason I got out is I had ES on already. I dropped tons of heal for him also so he could possibly get enough ep to leave as well but his wilderness didn't come alive in him. Two, this wasn't my party truely. Lotze wanted to go in so i wanted to help him to get inside. You didn't comment on the part where lotraz said I attacked him to get him away from my party did you? I couldn't care what all people have alts and such either so roku is roku and thats the end of that. If all you can seriously do is sit in a comment post that didn't have you involved at all and flame people for a nice job and attack on people killing in their lands maybe don't comment or just make suggestions? Your current attitude is one of the reasons why alot of the oldies are leaving and why ainur are often so reluctant to talk to mortals now. Their tired of your constant try to be cool by smashing others down. Whining ripping on others. Its too bad you think you have to kill everyone who doesn't agree with you or insult you to be considered good or a good player. No, i am not saying your a noone or anything like that either, I don't insult people I don't know well. I am just saying some of your attitude completely stinks. Please... tell me how old you are? Once again, i emphasize that mordor is not the udungul's 'lands'.
Some of our members are members of the PoM, which is the defense force of mordor.
This is the same as many members of arda being a member of the armies of gondor or mordor, even though they are from lothlorien or thranduils. Kind of hard to explain, but due to playability, *shrug* it's the way the game is.
Tuareg, nobody cares.
I think the other guilds should protect their lands with this fervor...

Let me clarify one thing. Me and rome are friends. I wouldn't attack him if my party wanted to kill him in mordor either. If gothwin had kill me I wouldn't be upset because its mordor and its a risky place! And no tuareg, some people actually try to treat me with respect because I don't go around killing people unless its totally justified in my opinion. Seriously tuareg... how old are you? I am just curious.

But i was so lagged from the point that i knew about the gates to about when i was killing glorfindel later on... that i didn't know what was going on with the party. there shouold have been no reason for more than one death maybe. And yea, i attack lotraz only to get him off my party no other intention. Nice pk's you guys. *shrug* last time i go into mordor without having full controll on all the members who are entering.
