You could drop every single RP combat rule except for hunting (which is a gameplay thing anyway) and RP would be just as, if not more, enjoyable. That way you just leave the room when you get to ND, and if you don't, then consider it a thinning of the herds.

Most times in RP battles you can't track your hp fast enough against multiple attackers, spells being cast on you to get out of the room in time. How many wizards have cast fb on a player in RP combat while that player is avg and the player dies because they went through a couple rounds of 'getting the shit beat out of them' before the fireball hit?
RP is not for people who can't hanle pK, RP is for everyone. You just have to realize that the sole focus of RP is not pK or even player-player & player-npc combat. I still do like to consider myself a roleplayer and I think I've proven I can handle pK...

This shows exactly what I said before in a previous log's comments. If this were the 'true' RP that people like Ailin want, then a few of those gondorians or whatever would have probably died. After being killed a few times because they arent as good powerplayers as those who they're defending against, then they would just simply stop RPing. Eventually this whole 80% of the mud would stop RPing after being killed over and over, because they arent good at not being pkilled. After that they would probably just go join a different mud, or just quit mudding all together.
Just to explain why I'm not calling Wyngel and co. powerplayers and not roleplayers..
I think everyone is a powerplayer, as long as they go out and try to get the best equipment and healing they can, favoring the power of the eq over how thematic it would be for them to be using it. Therefore those better at p vs. p combat would be better powerplayers. Some just suck at it, and some care only for it and not much for RP.
Being hibernated has given me a different perspective...and what I've noticed recently more than anything else, is just how fucking petty the playerbase of T2T is...'He killed me so I'm gonna bang him...adios mofo..don't fuck wit me'.
But then, this log shows that not everything that happens in Arda is petty, and some people show true styles of RP.
