It would appear that a major fight has erupted here, and you can only assume it is the product of the constant fighting between the beaten Wormtongue and his master Saruman. Broken furniture and shredded linen are strewn about the place. You find it hard to believe that two people could cause so much damage. The only obvious exit is down.
