I bet Fairfax wasn't a member of the yellowship at that time, so couldn't enter the halls and was completely relying on the other fuckers to come out. So he tried to quit from combat and later edited the log, changed the ending to make it look like he suddenly had major lags and put some guildcomm lines into it to make it look like he was a member nad had been able to enter the halls at any time. :P
