You are standing by a tall, stalwart gate through which the street runs
northwest, leading further up into the city. The street here is immaculately
maintained. Clean, well-swept stones fit perfectly together to form a
surface pleasurable to travel over, either on foot, horseback or in a wagon.
Lamps placed on tall poles line both sides of the street. There are people
here, mostly passing through the gate. They are predominantly soldiers on
errands of their respective commanders. The gates, though, draw your eyes.
They are large and very majestic. Rising at least twelve feet, they are made
of pure steel and are balanced so that one person can shut each side in only
moments. Beyond the gate you can see wide stairs climbing up to the next
circle of the city.
The soul of Sauron engulfs the sky leaving nothing but Mordor's blackness.
The only obvious exits are northeast, gate and southwest.
