I misaliased back to the guards I had just ran from (with 25 hp)...
and before I could figure out what happened, I was at -5.

A little advice from a more experienced player. I've played the MUD for over 5 years. The thing is, first, trying to make it sound pathetic that they killed you doesn't work, it just makes you look pathetic, so give that up. Take the death, suck it up, and get revenge if you so desire (In my experience it only escalates into full-blown wars and thus more deaths, but it's worth it!)...but lose the excuses.
Secondly, don't let it get you down. A temporary setback is all it is.
Third, if you want help pking him, you only have to look as far as his enemies.
