Killing an NPC that the SoU guards, and taking our kill/corpselooting? Should have been expected. Without lag he would have been dead though, thats the second time I've lagged today when typing "hunt person" while the guy was dlsg.

While for morals to KILL anything except evil creatures is not good RP, with evil this is not the case. Internal strife between evil forces is common in Tolkien. 3 examples that come to mind are the disputes between the Uruks concerning where to take Merry and Pippin (which ended in bloodshed), the incident at the tower of Cirith Ungol (which ended in a massacre), and the incident at the crossroads when Sam and Frodo escape the slavemaster's whip(which ultimately costs Sauron his victory).

At the same time, I think either the coders intend for evil to play this way, or have greatly undersupplied evil with appropriate weapons/gear to quest in the making of this game. Perhaps a combination of both is true.

I will not stoop to comparing this 'failing' in RP with the ludicrous killing habits of the BkD, Beornings and FRA that attempt minimalist regard for such concepts, because I really believe that OOC considerations for guilds should be considered valuable. Thieves provide a place for characters who like to play thieves. Megs provided a home for those who just wanted to quest gear, and Durms a place for Assassins.

FRA provides a forum for elite players who like to Multiplay, Rim Silval for semi-elite oldbies who can't write, and Beornings for MP'ers who like to level bash newbies in huge gangbangs.

I hope that some day, Udungul will be home to those players who enjoy military style evil guilds, with skilled typists who neither cheat nor multiplay, who RP fairly well, PK at will, defend Mordor with gusto, and like to talk about NCAA basketball and MLB.

I know that we aren't there yet, and maybe the mud will fold up and run out of money before we get there. But I enjoy being Udungul, and enjoy the company of our members, and our theme. But our theme isn't going to be defined by kill restrictions or the lack there of, which is a terrible and minimalist concept of how to play the game. So if you don't like the way we play, don't apply.

    Nagash is so intelligent.

I wonder, who is the faded wizard that keeps striking on the logs of durms dying? Hmm.

And dont bring up any idling shit, cos I am by definition an idler these days. War or no war.

I wonder why I any SoU and any Udungul commented anything about this.

Uh yeah, you're right Tuareg. Finds are the only way Gazza can contribute to this war, otherwise he would have to leave his guildhall.

He had a contract, Baral. Someone has to take it out, since it can't be durms. Anyway, i hadnt even been doing finds on him, someone just sent me a tell with finds on every durm that was on. I should have had that gold twice now. I'll think about that third time. I don't give a shit if he's level 15, 16, 17, whatever.

Still Baral, Arthlor is an Udungul, and you are a Durm, both supposed to be allied with SoU.

And as for killing a level 16... Toto kills people all the time, of course he should expect it :|

But pepople! This is perfectly normal! He is evil and it was a way of keeping a good weapon in enemies hands!

What a pathetic example of RP in all ways, that SO sucked. Of course, there will be a explanation about how it is perfectly normal for him todo it cause he is evil and it was a way of keeping a good weapon in enemies hands...
