Duniv, not every game sucks just because your char gets splattered in it before he gets past level 5 ;)
Adom also sucks, though I like it more than NetHack.

Angband! My second favorate game. ;) Beat it several times with several race/prof combos. Trying it with a Gnome Rogue atm. Never have gotten the one ring, though.

it doesn't seem all that comlicated Vitt, you just walk towards things you want to attack/pickup although I doubt I'll do much on it, since I don't want to learn a new game right now either.
havent figured out how to attack stuff yet duniv :P i just saw you guys talkin about it on here, seemed interesting, so i downloaded it and started playing. went inside all the rooms and stuff where i started out and it seemed a bit complicated. didnt want to learn a new game. its about like the first time someone tries to get you to play D&D, if you know what that's like.

i beat moria back in the day, I keep learning all new shit now in angband, like you can actually aim shit. that was handy to know

Because NetHack is inferior. I've tried it, and didn't like it at all.
1) Weapons don't show damage
2) It's uglier (if that is possible with ascii)
3) You don't get to fight bullroarer the hobbit

My workmates and I get paid to play that game, it's great. Although I've only got down to level 64, and Melkor's on level 100, I think. A great game.
I think Deimos would have won, if not for the Baruk Khazad-Dum. We kinda made him a little less powerful. But fear not, he will probably challenge you again! And will win!

Deimos has always been one of those few constantly honourable SoU, I mean that in the sense that I've never heard or seen of him doing a 'dishonourable act'

deimos, you impress me. i've seen a few other logs with you in RP fights before this. i havent been at any of them, but from what i've read, you exemplify SoU RP and I hope that your guildmates will follow in your footsteps.
Oh come on now, Jiread is just one of those badass, crazy, horse riding folks. Deimos had the whip but what condition was it in? Sure he could have tried casting a fireball, Deimos would have headbutted (and other things if he was smart)
Gothwin shouldn't have been shielding and she stopped at some point after Deimos told her not too.
This was a good fight, althought I'd like to have seen Jiread bandage Deimos *shrug* Gothwin got it fast enough.
btw, if you want to see how tough Melkor is, go to the website and checkout the log of my brother Hevron giving Melkor whatfer!
He had whip, a shielder, and a fucking wizard, how the hell did he not beat you. JESUS if Melkor has him as a general he lost the war man:)

Alkath, it was a good fight and Jiread's a warrior true. i think it was evened out though, b/c Deimos had Gothwin shielding him. though she didnt attack Jiread, that worked its way towards evening the fight. I think also though, that Deimos shouldve casted some spells as Jiread used headbutt often enough. one good turn deserves another.

When I return from hibernation I come. To Manwe I will go, and slay him I will. Do you have ANY idea how powerful Melkor is he resists pretty much all magic and physical attacks. I think acid bolt harms him though.
