I was feeling really bad and decided to kill a SoU....
Gerney is just too cool for a SoU:P
You can see:)
Dunv, although I appreciate the sentiment, I am neither innocent nor
a lamb. Primarily retired but not an innocent lamb. Rendor's nearly right,
I have not actively played in nearly 6 years. After my discussion
with Direkein, I assumed that my infrequent and brief visits would
leave me fairly unaccosted. Therefore, Azura, I was not expecting to
be attacked. And, Feodinur, if we use your logic then anyone who has
ever belonged to a guild is fair game in any war in which that guild
participates. To the Sons of Ulfang, history is an extremely important
part of our guild life. Therefore, my service to the Sons since the
earliest days as a clan has earned me the right to remain in the guild
without materially contributing to the guild. I do not purposely seek
out arms or armour for the guild and I do not pay dues (especially since
there is none...Sons of Ulfang contribute willingly and without demand
or requirement...it's called brotherhood Vittorio). In reality, my use
of guild equipment primarily benefits the FRA in this war considering I
am out there wearing it down and not replacing it. If my contributions
to the guild in the past mean I am a participant in this war, I accept
my fate willingly. If, however, the guild's opponents understand my
position within the guild and in regard to the war, it is conceivable
that they would realise that there is little, or nothing, to be gained
by attacking me.
This war is like so many others I have seen in my Ardan life, senseless.
If there was a dispute between the FRA and the SoU it seems to have been
forgotten (or else no one is willing to tell me the reasons). For those
who are outside the war and aid either side in the war, I say you must
seek within yourself the reasons why you participate. To the guildmembers
of both guilds I say, look to your convictions and see if they are true.
Why do you continue this war? What greater cause do you serve? As in many
a past war, there are those on both sides who have committed acts of evil
and of good. Do you serve your stated purposes by continuing this war?
For those outsiders who anonymously participate, what are your real
convictions? Do you choose a side merely because there are two sides?
Or, do you dillude yourself by telling yourself these people serve the
Shadow or the Light so I must join them? Or is it some deep rooted fear
that truly drives this juvenille urge to lash out at people with whom
you are truly unconnected? As you can see, I may be retired but I do not
run short of words. And with this last thought I leave you in peace.
Direkein and Ruiniel have treated me with acts of great honor, not in
my deaths but in their deeds afterward. While I am sure I will call
neither of them brother, I am honored to call them friends (or at least
honorable foe).
Er, I actually told him to leave SoU.He's too cool for this guild.
Its for you to express how much every log sucks without using words avaar.
wtf is this rated shit?
Hehe, its pretty funny how one of the evil servants of sauron can be an innocent lamb :)
/LF - a lamb too!
Things like this happen in every war. The innocent lambs are always the first to fall, simply because they are easy to kill. That's how it works.
Avaar it was not me :)
I think the point is that despite the fact that he is not an active pkiller for SoU, he still aids them, and thus is participating in the war. If an SoU used a weapon he gets to attack us, or a flask he helps to get to save their life, then he has affected the outcome of the war somewhat.
Cockmaster.
That would be the smart thing to do.
so, he's not supposed do any of those jobs that go along with being in a guild, nor pay guild dues. why dont you just ask him to leave the guild?
Actually Gerney was killed earlier on in the war. After talking to him afterward he mentioned that he was retired and didn't really want to participate. I returned his eq to him at that time and he seems to be a fairly likeable guy. However I also warned him not to party, earn gold for, or gather eq on behalf of SoU during the war period. *shrug* Its unfortunate that Gerney was killed, but it happens.
I love the people that pk with mels but dont have it wielded until right before they attack
nice looted mels
About the whip:

Its a phenomenon called luck, but it wasnt enough for Gerney though I guess. :)
*ouch*
And for the record, I thought Durmanhoth's existence, aside from wars, was based on killing people who 'don't expect it'. Gerney should have at least been aware of the war, and thus should have been expecting _something_. Hell, it's his second death.
Wow, like when they killed Conn?
You know, killing a guy who hasn't played the mud in like three or four years really isn't that spectacular. Its easy to kill someone who isn't expecting it.
Should have been titled 'Gerney says: lugburz'
the person that was wielding it didnt hit hard enough and enough times probably loshia, that is what was wrong with it
hmm what was wrong with the whip ?
bad! bad Ruiniel!
