As for the whole claim buisness...if you leave the room with a claim/quest, I'd think that you are leaving that claim. And if someone walks into a room with a bunch of eq on the ground, or Glorfindel holding a flask, they're not going to ask every person on the who list if the claim was theirs - they're going to take it like any other person would. It's not a matter of honor and corpselooting, it's a matter of common sense. So use it.

look sweety, you leave trash laying around, it's gonna get taken out. By you or someone else, it's your call...waiting for a quest to reset and someone zipping through on an alias sucks. I've had it happen to me (I was a lowbie though) and the people were always nice enough to either let me finish the quest or just outright give me the quest reward.
Leaving eq on the ground and leaving the room leaves it open to any and everyone. Having a claim to a quest/unique and leaving the room leaves it open to any and everyone, sadly enough for Haroth...Crion hadn't left the room, oopsies :)

Well, I don't think your other characters have much todo with them pking you because you were near death, and Crion didn't like that you took his mail pants paper. So, pking someone when they are ND is lame because you think they did it because of your alt. Oh well. Grow up. It's a game. Tough luck. Suck it up.

Zmud went awal, I broke them then went to go report in bree and for some reason after I typed Leto for who committed the violation my zmud go crazy, i disc'd and reconnect and im stuck in the fucking thing still but only i can input answers. so i close zmud come back and leto crion walk in still in combat. zmud being fucked up i get lost in staddle and the rest is history. lame.
P.S. Leto is a liar for saying he dont know my other chars. He discovered him on his own.

Yes, he was clearly in alias when he stole my document. When I asked for it back, he replied with '300 gold'. Then went on to ignore me after I sent him another tell, and we did _not_ plan on PKing him in the least. You can clearly tell we didn't _expect_ for him to die. Now Beornings and UD havn't had a past where it would cause Haroth to be such a dick to me. So maybe he is the one who needs to seperate his own chars.
