The untrue assumptions you made were: that The criminals are not able to be arrested (not true, it's just that it requires /__skill__/ (//gasp//) to arrest them), that there is inherently cheating involved in all use of the wanted system (I hate it when people just throw in stuff about 'and then they use their alts to...'. Will you just fuck off? You are in no position whatsoever to know anything about the way a players uses his/her alternate characters; and you certainly don't know more than the administration would! If there's cheating going on, and you know about it, chances are the cheater is nuked.), and that people never pay their fines and just go wanted infinitely (I've put thousands of gold into defending wanted people. And it was worth it.), and that players using the wanted system are only powerplayers (not only is that none of your business, but you are in no position to know that, either.).
So, to sum up:
Theodrek, your view on the subject is both full of untruths, and full of lies. The one part that you did get right about the way we use it isn't even a negative thing. So, before talking like you know about it, learn something, and stop making ridiculous accusations.Fimbu

Hi, Nogothrim! Yes, I am a horrible player. Compared to other places, yes, Barad-dur may be new. I only used it as an example. Or, at least, meant to use it as an example. Fines? Sure. FRA member A goes wanted. Deputy comes in to arrest member A. As he handcuffs member A, FRA members B through G come in and kill member Deputy. Deputy reports members B through G, they go wanted. Big difference, now you just have a whole group of wanted people. If they can't be arrested, they don't pay their fines. In turn, making it a *free* kill. Furthermore, you tell me which 'real criminals' went wanted back when it was 'no combat arrests'. The only ones who did were multi/powerplayers who would hide in Barad Dur and log off and onto an alt whenever someone would enter the tower, and log off when said person is dead or not in the tower. Or, they would have their alt's guildmates tell them when the person has left. No 'real' criminals went wanted unless there was the chance they could kill the arrester. Now that criminals can hold the deputy in one room while a handful of people pound on him, you're wondering why more 'real' criminals are going wanted. Or, should I say, more FRA and Durmanhoth.
They're really not free kills. They have to pay fines on them. And you really should be more careful if you're going after someone. Don't put yourself in a position where you can be killed. You think if someone goes wanted they should just roll over and let you get them? Maybe all those newbies you arrested to boost your numbers did, but try arresting some real players and you have to work for it Theo. I'm sorry we don't all go wanted and make it easy for you to beat Stryker. He had real arrests though, so he's still the best.
