    This old stone is a weak version of a palanti'r, the ancient 
seeing stones of old that were given to the inhabitants of
middle earth by the gods so that they could remain in contact
over long distances.  This stone is a minor version which
the gods deemed should be available to every living being
who chooses to carry one.  The stone allows a person to:
tell, ignore, who, legend, mcouncil, comm, and towncomm.
