I think most people are pretty familiar with this quest... but I tried to do something that I don't think anyone else has ever done (some commentary edited in to the log). The parts of the quest pertinent to players who haven't done it before have been skipped over or edited out as well.
umm boffo in all respects, none of that gear is really any good, save drba, it is underrated
That's a good point... although my current character is a LOT tougher than the old one who stopped to fight the Sentinel, the gear I had this time around was also a lot better. Those who know emotes can tell I had a Dark Runed Battleaxe (which, in my opinion is unbalanced, but whatever...), a Magnificent Silver Helm (read and repaired to EXC), Leggings (from Erebor, pretty fresh), and Chainmail Shirt (from Looming Morgul Guard, also pretty fresh). Also, in addition to food and wine for healing, I was also packing a full flask. So, sure, a maxed warrior might carry better gear than I had that day -but not by much.
Another thing to consider is that a few years ago, savareth's sword and elven longsword were considered good weapons. These days every level 9 can get something much better if they pay for it. There was no hauberk, there was no dwarven war shield, there was no mail pants. These days most npc's are pretty killable.

I actually liked this log, maybe i'm on crack. You decide.
The important quest info, I think, is 1)how you get into the tomb and 2)how you actually get the quest item. So I goofed on grabbing the Arkenstone... anyone who's read The Hobbit knows it's in there... I imagine anyone noobish who does the quest will still look in the coffin.
Anyways, I had never heard of anyone killing the Sentinel, only tales of people running like mad to get around it. I remember trying to stand and fight the thing YEARS ago, and getting my ass kicked -which is why I thought I'd try it with my current character. Sorry if I totally wasted your time...

As we know, high levels also post bad logs so raising the requirement might not work ;-). Let me add that I didn't read this log, so my comments are not necessarily relevant to it.

Never done that. I've tried to kill warg riders though. I was level 16 with a staff at the moment I think... Had found some kind of a bug. It went somewhat ok, but I ran out of EP, so I failed. I belive I bug reported it, but I'm not sure.

what the fuck, every character i have ever had, killed that dwarf piece of crap and then continued on with the quest... i want the 4 mins of my life back i spent on this log!
