This place looks like it hasn't been lived in for a while.
Dust covers every surface and there are muddy footprints tracked
everywhere on the floor and rug, probably from other explorers
such as yourself.  In the center of the room is a sculpture of a
beautiful elven maiden.  It looks like there are some rooms to 
the north and there is a stairway leading to the upper level to
the northeast.
The south door is locked.
    The only obvious exits are south, up, north and northwest.
