Mizrahi... Normally public votes are also secret votes, and the result is not given until the vote is over. This is not the case here, so it's not 100% comparable; in fact there are a number of things that work differently.
For instance, in real life people don't have alts and thus can't make multiple votes in order to influence something one way or the other.
Also, on the mud personal issues easily play in much more than in a real life vote of the quality of something, e.g. your obvious dislike for me which strongly affected how your response was worded (in my oppinion).
In short, there are many differences between this and an ideal public vote, so I will moderate it. I don't alter it. I always tell you **//what//** I did and **//why//**. This can be compared to laws in real life; sure there is freedom of speech, but you have laws (at least in some countries) against people for instance trying to get ellected on a program involving killing all jews or black people etc.
And I am sure we all, or most of us, agree that this is a good thing. I think you guys should be glad that I don't play this game. That way my judegements are much less likely to be personal or random.

For a third drunken comment. You really can't moan about the sapphire sword because it boils down to your very own alignment. If you're that super terrified of saphy then stay at villainous. You'd still be able to bright-immolate the whip and the saphy would be fairly weak against you. However, you wouldn't be able to knock on Mordor gates, but just like everything else in life there's a decision that must be made. Its all about gameplay, just because all the eggs aren't in your basket doesn't mean you can't hatch a chick.

I thought the concept of a rating system is so every person gets to rate a log using his or her PERSONAL opinion/judgement of WHATEVER. And not NICURAMAR AND RAQTOR'S personal opinion/judgement of WHATEVER.
Who the hell are you to decide what is 'bogus rating' and what isn't, and if you're going remove every mark that you happen to strongly disagree with this vote might as well just be removed. If the moderators think this log is worth a clean 6, write a goddamn 6 by it, or 10, or 3.14 or whatever the heck it you want the results to be instead of putting it on a stupid vote of which results you will manipulate anyhow.
Not everyone votes by the 'This log should have never been posted' etc definitions that you put up near every friggin number. Most people just rate it on a standard scale of 1 to 6, 1 being I don't like it and 6 being I like it. If Baklen thinks it's a goddamn 1 then don't bitch at him for rating it a goddamn 1.

Well true, i do not think this log in respects to all time 20, should be up there with Spikes...his was far more involved and was a situation demanding much more on the choices of the player then an alias to lock and hope for the best...So in rating a log, these considerations could influence someone's ratings. But hell, the ratings mean little anyhow.

I rated this log with 1 because the rating system obviously isn't about an objective estimation of the log, but about your personal feelings towards the poster of the log or what's happening inside the log.
I realized that after Draugluin rated the log where I was killed (a gangbang kill with definitelly not much skill involved) with 6 because he enjoeyed to see me die. After that I used the same measures to rate this log.
