I think there are good players around still. But the point is, those old elite dudes did invent all the good stuff, and gave the guidelines to the pk frontier. So therefor you really cant compare your self into them. Dont try to compete with the history since it's already written.. The fact is none of the players currently on the mud will ever get the reputation like Fjant and others had

Is it really feasible for newer players to map Mordor, and especially Barad-dur? Even when Mordor was easier accessible, it still took me maaaaaany faded trips inside before I could get all but the Tower.

Well, you are a strictly normal player in my eyes. I do give credit for your cute saw toothed sword stuff but you'll need about 10 more tricks like that to even get close. It just breaks my heart that someone like you can think he is on even playing field as someone like Vatipaa. I'm cursed by not being ignorant.

woohoo, they found out the weaker parts of the game (meaning the less balanced parts), which is really an accomplishment. Everybody finds out one of these things in the game that give him an uneven advantage to others, then some time later these things are being changed by the ainur (normally).

About every quest that I know I figured out on my own. I wrote that stuff down (with pen and paper first and later saved it in a textfile on my PC) and created aliases so I wouldn't have to type every single command by myself each time I'm doing my quests. I completely mapped out places like the Barad Dur Tower (lvl 1) and linhir city. I'm having them on a sheet of paper next to me right now.

So don't give me that bullshit about me only using second hand information in the game. I was taught only a very little number of the quests that I know, the rest I completely discovered myself (that's probably because I started playing in a time when people still cared about not giving out quest info to others like it's the most normal thing to do).

Well, the difference to me is, people like Vatipaa werent taught anything or shown anything. They figured out those techniques on thier own. Newbies like you are able to use the information and tactics that were pioneered by Vatipaa. Lets be honest, have you ever seen spartan do anything differently than anyone else? Or you for that matter? No, you are a standard player playing the standard game. Vatipaa wasnt....thats the difference.

    *smirk*

Shove that spear into your.. whatever.

It's pretty dumb to claim that nobody could compare with the 'old elite' players as for example Vatipaa. There were very good players on the mud at that time, but today there are also very good players there and I think they _can_ compare themselves with the good players of the old time.

There probably were some playerkillers back then, who's effectiveness can hardly be beaten by anyone today, but that's only because the game was a lot less balanced at that time. If you still could knock people unconscious with the deadly dark spear, or if you still could have your drunk party members backstab you to get an attack bonus from the failed backstabs that would make you able to headbutt a level 19 char from perfect shape to near death in less than one round, then there surely would be a lot of people today using those means and according to your definition it would make them elite players that nobody else could compare with.

Yes, that was not the original Vatipaa playing at the time of this log. Vatipaa was a fucking ass romper that NONE of you guys could compare to, but he doesnt have logs on this page like supercool Spartan,Baklen, etc so i guess he'll never be as good as them in your eyes.

Nice logs Filil. I'm posting here cause this is the most current post. I'm gone again. I got plenty of traveling left to do. I'm going back home to good old Australia next week, and i'll be back to visit family and friends before i'm back in Sweden. So i'll be gone for more than likely a month, perhaps longer as i no longer have a computer of my own. So i'm saving up for one. To all my friends, take care and stay out of trouble, too all my enemies, think of this as a chance to relvl and practice your huntbreaks.
