The general quality of the comments is certainly low these days, I agree. I still think enforcing stricter topic-stickiness and promoting usage of the forum for off-topic conversations would solve it to a large extend.
Of course people generally won't obey rules (no offense intended for those of you who //do//), so warnings and blocks are needed. Sadly.
The question is: Do we want a comment section with over 50% flaming, or do we want to move such messages elsewhere or not have them at all?
