At least it's always been stated in the rules that you can't post for others, and it's also been pointed out in a news item by MuadDib. I assume you guys read the news now and then ;-).
Why is it a crime? Well, in several cases it's not really a problem, but in the past we had several of those posts for others, and sometimes it wasn't even clear who logged it in the first place. It's for two reasons:
**1.** Anonymous logs aren't allowed, and posting for others can be used for that.
**2.** Some people might post logs that the original logger didn't want posted.
I realize that it sometimes should be ok to do it. So we will take that rule of for revision.. but I need to discuss it with Muad first at least.

Well I am inclined to agree with you Nicho.. but what about Gyro? He got several days block (by MuadDib) for the exact same thing. It was quite innocent with his post also..
I don't like strict rules; I like to be able to exempt, but at the same time I get 10 emails by people who feel it's unfair that I punish person A, but not person B.
I would want it like this: In general, don't post logs for others, but if it's clearly not a problem (and I agree it is clearly not in this case), then it's ok... I mean, unless someone starts posting 600 logs for someone else.
Well.. The administration internally don't fully agree on how to do these things, and that's one of the reasons for me sticking to the rules tightly right now. I am sorry.
Nicuramar, come on. Really, that's pretty sheisty; Orlando was here for how long? How long have the rest of us been here comparatively? And you can't extend to him the privelege of getting Manner to post logs for him when clearly there was nothing in their nature to suggest otherwise?

I liked this better when it was just a log page.
You guys can't post for other users, even if they don't exist. The procedure would be for the person to mail us about it or similar. Then we can maybe make an account for him or her to post from.
I have to give you a three day temporary block, Manner, to keep in line with the two recent cases like this. A notice/warning system should soon be up though, and will make things a little less severe the first time.
