Heh, until I read how it panned out in the end, I was thinking the title of the log should be something like: Skaffa and me have an ethical discussion, while I'm in the process of pking Karos.
Karos departed/suicided? It's almost a shame, actually. From the comments on this log, and also the material inside the log, you can see that Karos had a lot of support against Loshia...
Kind of ironic that Karos was bitching at Loshia for recruiting Skaffa to help kill him, meanwhile Skaffa is telling Loshia to get lost and pick on someone else. I don't really know all the people involved, and who frequently post here, but it seems to me that a lot of people who don't much like each other were united in a desire to pound on Loshia...
Nicuramar was nuked for botting ? so i guess he knows best :p
anyway - to me botting is when you can leave your PC unattended - and Your character still functions.
If you are there at the keyboard and have control - then triggers and aliases are fine. - its when you leave it unattended.
I mean, if a god beams you up as a suspect, but you are at the keyboard - it is more easy to talk you way out of it and plead innocent.
If it is working on its own and your are afk - then well, you cant really claim innocent now can you :p
Well, it's triggers that make the difference. Aliases are legal.. I suppose even if they are like 1000 commands long, and will make your char do a lot of things wihtout anyone at the keys.
But I guess botting is defined as having your character do things automatically, without being the direct result of an input by the player. The problem with this definition is of course that even triggers to set up triggers or colour lines etc. could fall under this.
I guess it would be botting if I set a trigger that would buy me a beer everytime I entered bywater booth... but the main purpose for a real bot is automatic money or exp gathering. Since this mud is only about those things (from the systems side of view), this is what you should do yourself. The replay value of this game is quite low, so this is the part that gets boring I guess.
A bot is a series (usually a script) of aliases to make your char do stuff for you so you don't have to pay attention to it.
Hey, Could someone briefly explain the concept of 'botting'? I presume it's a 'no-no' thing todo but still...Im curious :P

Smeg, it's Karos who has a problem with Loshia, not whateverhisnewcharnameis. So of course he's replying as Karos; if he didn't, he'd be multiplaying.

Well, claimjumping I did in the past. Not anymore though since I wouldn't want to get nuked for it :P And hell yeah, I quit 3 or maximum 4 times in 5 years in situations where I had no possibility to leave the room I was in anymore. I layed back, watched the fight for a few seconds and then decided to not let my attacker(s) get away with a cheap kill like that. I imagined how much it would piss them off if I ripped them off of the sure kill and that encouraged me enough to do it. *shrug* I don't blame people for holding that against me. Everyone has had his cheap moments in the past and mine probably were when I quitted on a few attackers. I don't really care too much about some people being pissed off because of that because after all it was what I intended.

people i know this has nothing to do with me but its going critical. i mean wars are wars, you get killed a couple of times but 3 people lost characters here. i used to know light and im sorry to see him go for such a trivial reason. considering im 100% sure he is not and never was netwarrior =) so i dont know someone just post older pk logs so this ones pass down and we dont have to look at them anymore.

And while half of the mud cheats and it's nothing special anymore, I have no character who didn't make all the levelling without cheating. Don't worry, Karos... Intulor probably can only speak one language (english) halfway correct, even if he will now say 'No, I'm from spain and my mother came from brasil! I speak 5 languages fluently.'. You know.. it's easy to lie when nobody can prove the oposite ;)
I am glad though that I cannot prove the oposite cause this would mean that I would have to know Intulor in RL.
You really shouldn't have left like that, Karos.. we could've trapped your attackers some more times. That would've been fun.. Loshia got extremely lucky in this log, but it obviously has to do nothing with skills. God, he doesn't even trigger the bywater break when you pulled it on him 3 times in a row before :P what a loser. And Light is gone *cheers* what a luck for every other player who doesn't like to play with (or against) bots.
I don't know who Netwarrior is, but if he also killed Karos, the level 12, I am glad that he got nuked. I remember when Netwarrior himself was a lowbie and had no clue what was going on and now that some guys that he calls his friends helped him to level to 19 he's playing the big bad guy who's killing level 12? Pathetic.

And it seems that Draugluin does not know ? Or does not want to know cause you are his friend or smth. Or he is bored... and decides to ruin the work of an average user. Ok but at least think of a real reason for nukes. Or restore chars so you can make that up.
