might have to take that back.... what I got was:

still... seems like lag close to the server.
(tired) What I meant was: The MUD is free to play...
I have reasons to believe the lag was serever side... namely I tried to ping the server during one of these 'lag bubbles'. Result:
PING towers.angband.com: 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 38.117.144.98: icmp_seq=0. time=156. ms
64 bytes from 38.117.144.98: icmp_seq=1. time=154. ms
64 bytes from 38.117.144.98: icmp_seq=2. time=154. ms
64 bytes from 38.117.144.98: icmp_seq=3. time=153. ms
Which is pretty much the exact ping I get when not lagging at all.
The MUD is free to service, so there won't be any hangings. In fact, I think overall they do a great job. Just trying to shed some light on this lag thing.

Yeah, I know why you got attacked, it was when we entered with fillsauron, who gets autoattacked by those guards, you took a hit from them, and hence got into combat. I should have realised you were protecting and thought, we might have suceeded then (this is why I got fillsauron to fade) but, never mind, these things are sent to try us.
And in case anyone's wondering why I tried to arrest my 'firned' ruiniel, it's because I was bored, and I know how high his fines could be, so I figured it would be good for a laugh.
Well... what can I say... lag kills. You might not have realized I was lagging, so I'm not going to rant on you. I just wish these lag bubbles would stop. By the way, I may be Angelic Eorling, but I'm not Amruin, just wanted to say that.
