Well Kolbjoern, think of the forums as an advanced comment-section ;-). you can easily enough start a forum thread and then post a comment here with the url. I don't really want excesive flaming anywhere, and several other don't like it either. So this 'lame' rule is a compromise.

The Forum is not as fun, as the comments are what everyone reads, mostly cause of all the conflicts that are created. Lame imho to rule that the comments should not be used as flame/off topic stuff.
If you want the Forum to be fun, then just make one single place for comments, not lots of threads. I dont know about everyone else, but i enjoy reading people's flaming at eachother. And its almost always that the Flame is started from something in the log, and therefor not off topic. Like talking about doors, then moving to the coder of the doors, and then moving on to what that coder has done before to improve the game, or make it worse, and then move on to people that have been nuked for it, then on to other jerks that have been nuked, Nicu we all love this place cause of the fun logs and the fun comments. I doubt a tenth of the people in the comments section even look at the forum.
People come here to look at logs, not to speak witheachother in the forum. therefor the main objective for you should be to make the comments section more advanced if anything.

Although i think you can/should kill who you want for any reason you are happy with - you just need to be willing to take the consequenses that come with it without complaint.
