A little while after the duncan lockup and attempt, Aldebaran and Crion decide to offer me a gold run.... I gratefully accept.
Blocking this thread, too off topic
maxing a char in 4/5days is not hard. you just need not to be a newbie
bah hobbe, you have no idea what what you are talking about or who i am buddy. leave it at that.
Some of us had to learn how to level quickly because warnings warranted that they had a fall back char or 10. :P
Kilth - i was under my former name with fines of about 12K and for the fun of pkilling, 12K is not that hard to make imo. When you know you have 12K to pay, you tend to be more selective on targets though. - i was also 100days old - name change + age change down to 7Days. Made my first kill, 34K. And if i recall (I could be wrong) death blow was on Klouse, he may recall the reimbursments?
Age does make a difference to an assassins fines.
Needless to say i suicided and started over with Deglaur.
Ok for the power player issue. lets use a couple quick examples. Lets go with Baklen for starters. I think the stereotype of power player is Baklen all the way. Baklen has started his own wars, finished them, pissed off hella folks, befriended those he choose to and could prolly switch back and forth on the align spectrum with open arms welcoming him. Spartan too fit this category well. But what about those like Khralek. Sure he had khralek for a while but htat means nothing. The guy is a great assassin, can level chars damn fast and as long as I known him never had a complaint about his rping. And even good ol delgaur. Another of those power players that got the best of both worlds. But riddle me this. The whole fast leveling deal, most power players avg 3days of mudtime to max a char. shit Jason/Rendor etc, has done a number of times in 1 day. What kinda power player is rendor? And me for instance, My best time prolly was Haroth with a very low 4day maxing... Indeed there are many caliber and categories for these so called power players. And as for fines getting to high and the unit stopping. If it really got that bad. we'd make new chars and start a new before the reign with the current ones ended :). we will stop when we are ready :) But shit at this rate that wont be too long fucking around with klouse and his 8.6k murders....
With average death costs of about 6k, quite a lot of people would just have a friend kill them for that 10k...
Also, if your murder fines are 10k a piece, even solo kills are void of any purpose.
You can place nice Contracts with 10k, and with 40k VERY NICE Contracts!!
Did Haroth report?
For 10k you can do so many //wonderful// things. **Delgaur**, you're sick if you PK even with 40k fines. *ick*
Betus, to answer your question. We spend about a minute setting up and about 30 minutes paying off the fines.
Ouch :)
10K for a pk is not alot of fine.
before tha cap - i have, in the past, reached 40-50K fines for a single PK.
Right Rhoads
(ahh boredom at work, sooorry)
going to ask G-Unit in one of his logs ;-)
Do you think they will continue? I think they will have to stop, or maybe with the fines cap they won't, well dunno.
Maybe they can tell us how much time do they spend in preparing / doing a kill and how much time making gold to pay fines, this will be interesting...
Guys... remain on topic
Rhoads
Well the problem is that some people get alot of enemys so if they suicide they can't use same name. because they will be killed at sight when they reach like lvl 12 and shit. So there are still quite many people around. Look at G-unit i mean they spend maybe 1-3 hours every day to get gold for fines and they still kill quite alot.
Hobbe, I talk about fines cos I see players that 'burn' their chars, let me explain; you can max a char in a short time, so you max a char, you kill a lot, you get high fines till you cannot kill more (you spend more time making gold for fines that time you spend killing and it's not funny to you ;-) so you suicide and create a new char..
Another word for a powerplayer is a min/max'er...
You minimize the effort involved in getting the maximum output.
And yes, people can be powerplayers and roleplayers, just not very often you see it.
Why the hell would you get fines for leveling fast? Many people see fast leveling as a challendge and they don't think it's fun to play if you aren't maxed.
I think you need 'power' to be able to RP in some ways, you can be a low level and RP as a dunedain warrior (speaking like one, acting like one) but you can only effectively protect a NPC against a hard attack if you're hard also. I thought 'power player' mean a maxed char, if it means 'able to get best eq' there're some limitations if you RP but you can try to get best eq that fits with your aligment, if it means 'able to max chars in a short time', well, I don't see the funny in that (only reason I can think is fines and bad reputation ;-)
Sorry, this is not related to the log, maybe I have to open a thread in the discussion forums...
Powerplayer isen't really the first thing you think about when you think about KoDA.
So you cannot be power player and role player cos the power player only searches for the BEST eq and the role player has to care about his role, or can you be both power player and role player? if so, tell me the way ;-)
I disagree, most Powerplayers are way better people then the rpers.
I did say that in general they are mean and asses. If you think im wrong sure think so. I just stated my opinion. Woh im in english class and still i haven't learnd shit :D
Oh, Hobbe, they don't have to be mean! They just lay of all what RP means, and get the best gear, then they make gold. (Very fun :P)
I don't think you thought about the right thing, Bettie :P
Power players can be explained in diffrent ways. Some mean players that can go up to a high lvl with good skills in a very short time. I think that a powerplayer is someone that can lvl fast and that think they are the best and act like a idiot. Or atleast most powerplayers do act like that
Can someone explain what do you mean with 'power player'?
Ah, before you answer 'the player you'll never be', I already know that ;-)
Eizan please don't talk about shit you have no idea about.
I reckon a better question would be which one had experience in pking.
so, in this argument from Eizan and Kabute, guess which one is a power player, and which one is more of a RPer
Nice fight, Haroth.
exactly, intelligence would have told ya that it was a bad idea.
When it comes to pking, intelligence makes the difference, not a weapon.
damn, why would you attack a guy with one of the BEST weps in the game? not the brightest attempt ever, especially considering that standing right next to him was good friend with THE best wep in the game. nice escape though.
Who's Jessica Simpson?:P
I'll send you Bay Ganyo!
Damn you guys couldn't 'hit' Jessica Simpson if she was standing in front of you.
You lucky I wasn't there
Yes, I got actually surprised while reading the log :P
Wow, Haroth using such HBs, remarkable!
Good log though, nice fight:)
I guess you reported again?
But that's ok, since your ass is small:P
