And Holic, what bias are you talking about here?

I think it's pretty easy to spot clear ironic comments... If I can't though, I'll regard them as real. And then it's just too bad for the person. And no, of course you //can't// get away with making a long list of flames, and then adding a ;-). It will be an individual judgement.

I love how people use joking, or 'I was just kidding!' to cover their asses when they voice their true opinions. Hey Rhoads, you're a hypocritical bastard! Haha, just kidding, don't comment block me!

That's bullshit, Nicu. Sorry. Everything that I say is said in a tongue-in-cheek manner. Yet, you guys hold me to every last word of it and thats where the bias comes into play.

Yeah I think it's safe to assume that Rhoads was joking... I mean, how many Iowans do you think he knows anyway? I am sure he's not stupid enough to //seriously// make such a gross generalization :-).

Sorry for snapping, but I am a //bit// tired of 500 people making those 'This thread is off-topic..' posts ;-).

As for people agreing that Rhoads shouldn't be admin.. well, he's not; he's manager. Happy now? Otherwise, I think he and I deserve some more constructive arguments, reasons etc. instead of just unsupported accusations :-).

Relax Nicu, *rub rub* twas just a joke.

I'd also have to agree with Holic on the Rhoads thing, but I bet he was probably joking too. (I hope he was, Iowans are sweet!)

I don't really know where do you pull that much crap from Holic and I don't know you even manage to make that crap up :P I don't think I have closed threads because 'people were saying something funny about Amruin', must be some sort of drug you are using or something.

Well Apeture, I was joking, maybe, but I still love you :P hah

Whenever I say that Rhoads shouldn't be log page admin, this is the perfect example. He just fucking flamed an entire state. Oh, but when someone says something funny about an Amruin its suddenly off topic and the thread needs to be closed. Its fucking ridiculous and furthermore, I care about this way too much, bye :P

And anyway, Julius, what Trempk means (I think :P) is that if let's say, someone else have done the exact same thing and had the exact same background as this people would have been saying how low it was. Or like if you idle killed someone who was afk by setting off their triggers. People would normally say that it was lame, low, not hounorable etc, but if it were you it would be great, smart, funny stuff like that. Of course those might be bad examples but I don't really feel like writing a whole dicertation about this. Anyway from what I know of Drandul he deserved that :P

People treat me like shit for far less than all the stuff you've pulled over the years, and the only difference Ive seen that makes you any different than me is that you've PKed a bunch of people and showed your skill in doing it. Of course we all know that that is what usually gains 'respect' on this game. So why shouldn't they get on your ass for what you do? The only reason why they don't is because they dont want to be on your bad side. Someone like me on the other hand, people couldn't care less if they're on my bad side, so they piss me off regularly. :p Then again, i don't think ive ever given false perceptions to people about how i feel about them.

And it would have been nice to give us all that background before we went off on how cruel it looked.

Not saying the situation is frustating, nor excusing Ainur for not giving explanations (surely they'll give some, I hope) but we (players) need to face it, it's a free service, it can be down and we cannot do anything, well, maybe we can help (another pledge drive? ;-)

I think it's better for us to offer Ainur our help than whinning, hey! I'm here (bored), if you need me...

Oh.. yeah.. the log.. very very sneaky!! You dont ask a big name for help just because it's a big name. Always cover your ass so noone sneaks up on it!!

I am maybe going to regret this, and i cant believe im going to do it....but i kind of agree with Daywalker.

Though i do think they did buy new server, and not waste the money on cigarettes and alcohol.

Paying money for a new server and not investigating how reliable provider is, a HUGE oversight on whoevers part.

I don`t care if I will get banned from log page but looking at the provider and its ping to different places around the world and the recent downtime (and this is a common thing) I can say that either the owners of the mud are incredibly stupid to pay them money or they don`t have money cause they spent all of the pledge drive income. I believe that we, the players that make mud whatever it is now, deserve some explanation or smth or at least tell us its gonna be down for 1-2 days and keep it down. This crash/downtime sux ... people die, lose EQ get frustrated..

I've always liked how Trempk, while professing that he likes me, hates it that others don't rag on me....which leads me to wonder how he really feels. Perhaps I'm more respected, because I've earned it over the last 8 years I've been playing here. I've proven myself time and again, that I am a person who means what he says, and that to my friends, I do have the utmost loyalty...

As far as Drandul goes, I don't know the guy...obviously if it was a friend, I would not have done that. I do know that I didn't want to cause Percival's death twice in two days...he's a fairly nice guy.

I have lost count of the number of times Drandul has locked up some unsuspecting player for Spartan to kill in places like the SRS cave. It's pleasant to see Julius turn the tables on him. If Julius had done that, say, to his brother, then I'd say 'Bad bad Julius! Go to your room and contemplate your badness! And no dessert for you!', but it was Drandul. Drandul is a rather deserving fellow for getting skunked in that manner, if ever there was one.

I personally kind of like julius most times, but i always found it funny how he seems to have been hmm.. exempt or something from all you people's criticism. I'm suprised, I would have expected you all to kiss his ass as usual for this and would have said something like 'if one of probably 95% of the rest of the mud would have done this, you all would be jumping to say how low it was, but when julius does it, its cool.' Good to see some people maybe realizing recently that he's not as worthy of asskissing as previously thought. Of course, maybe if you kiss his ass, he won't kill you. :p

Low? Heh. I could help Drandul, have to still pay a fine to Percival...or I could help Percival, and be free and clear...and I don't know either one better than the other.

and besides, Drandul DID ask me to hunt...notice I didn't interfere with the fight...if I'd hunted for Drandul he'd hvae lost too :P
