This is the entrance into the city of Pelargir.  Rumor has it
that during the Kin-Strife period, a few renegades from Minas Tirith,
who called themselves the Corsairs of Umbar, conquered Pelargir.
Soon after that, the kings had recovered the city, and it was the chief
port of Gondor until the War of the Ring.  At least, it was until
a few days ago, when it was retaken by the Corsairs.  But when Aragorn 
and the Dead besieged the city, most of the Corsairs were killed or 
fled the city.  Many of the buildings and shops were burned, and only
a few thugs and thieves remain, still ransacking what's left.
