You could argue that a mis-alias is very unrealistic, and once you can't go in a direction you wouldn't try again 10 times if it failed the first time. So a setting to abort aliases if they went in directions that didn't exist would be nice. Then there is also gameplay to consider of course. And balance.
I was not thinking in avoid death Otoron, seems that a lot of people here is only interested in the PK 'side' of the MUD.
How many times you miss alias and you see 3-4 screens of 'You cannot go that way!' and 'What?' while you look at your screen during 10 seconds of doing nothing?? or you realize you typed the wrong alias just after pressing the 'Intro' key??
Oh, well, maybe it's only me, people here NEVER commit mistakes... }:-P
Something to stop aliases? Jesus, do we need to make it any easier to never get killed here? It's not like healing hasn't proliferated, and its hard to blind, and you can get into your cloak blind... maybe we have enough?

The 'who all' and similar is definately a bug/side-effect. It happens because it activates the pager (the 'more' thingy).

It only stops the alias if you have a trigger to do who all, not if you type it.

Bad luck Fimbu, shoulda just broken :P I dont think its that bad Caber, i mean I remember when we were having a war against SoU and we used to bag out on Silvarin being a backstabbing whip. To tell the truth, i've seen a CLS do a 100hp bs, and i think we're all over reacting anyways, Fimbu coulda broken easily, but he chose not to. And i think your wrong Grimscar, i think the medallion played a rather large part.

No. I picked this as the forum for my whining, thanks, and I'll be keeping it here. I kind of expected Azarael to yell at me first, but hey, I'll take them as they come. And even if MELS did a 100HP backstab, it wouldn't be doing 40-50HP hits in the following rounds. :P

Like, I know we all feel a need to overcompensate for morals only having sapphire swords for the past few years, but letting that weapon backstab is such crap. :P When you take a weapon that can do 50HP of damage in a round, and let people pull off a backstab that could easily do 100HP...christ. Call me a whiner or something, I don't care...but man. Ouch.

Even if it -did- only do 90 HP or so. Which is less than what the Sapphy did. *cough* Maybe this Aiglos isn't that good after all? Or, maybe the medallion just reduces the amount of HP each hit does.
