You are looking at a tall, thin dunedain man. You are unable to see
his face because he’s wearing a dark, hooded cloak. He wields a 
long dark sword that is painted red with blood. You notice that he’s
wearing a black chain mail that covers most of his body and a large
black shield that has the eye painted on it. When you look at his
baldric you notice its empty mouth is rimmed with dried blood.
When he realizes that you are looking at him he pulls down the hood
of his cloak and starts staring at you with an evil grin. His hair
is dark brown and his eyes coal black. As you look at his eyes your
mind is filled with visions of the corpses of many innocent people.
You pay attention to the beautiful earring glittering on Vermond's ear.
A growing sense of foreboding and dread fills you, as you stare
into the shadows that surround Vermond!

As if in response a large slab of the floor begins to slide away
revealing a hole in the floor and a set of stairs. With confidence
they take the stairs down. Once out of sight the slab starts to
move back into place. With a final thud you realize you missed
your chance to follow.
